> Designing and building are two different things that are extremely important. You can have your vision on paper, but when it comes to choosing materials it can all be ruined by one wrong brand.for windows and doors, I am begging you do not cheap out! Especially when you’re deep and have almost finished the project. It’s one of the most important parts that will either make or break your home. Aesthetics and energy efficiency are just as important. Steel is no joke. Thermal break frames are epic. Century old designs that proven through time to last are now transformed with double pane tempered glass and argon gas and that’s what we have from Black Badge. Thank you for being the best in the world. Worth the wait!

> We've been working with Black Badge Doors for about two years now and are on our third project with them. Overall we've had a great experience. The quality of the steel doors and windows is honestly top notch. We've worked with other steel manufacturers before and these don't even compare. The profiles are incredibly slim, the finish is excellent, and the craftsmanship is obvious when you see the welds and overall fit and finish.
> One thing I think a lot of people don't understand is that these are completely custom made products. They aren't something you grab off the shelf at Home Depot. Every opening is built specifically for your project and because of that you really need to know what you're ordering or work with a builder or contractor who understands steel windows and doors. Things like jamb details, hardware, installation, and finish options are completely different than standard wood or fiberglass doors.
> Yes, they're manufactured overseas, so lead times are longer than stock products, but that's just the reality of custom steel. As long as you plan ahead, it's not an issue.

> WE FINALLY GOT THE WINDOWS AND DOORS!!!!! Let me just say: WORTH. THE. WAIT. You’ve probably already done enough research to know or look for Black Badge as they are \#1 in all categories. We live where there are cold winters, so thermal break was a must. After our research, we were settled on Black Badge Doors especially after seeing their large projects of custom homes and even commercial buildings. This was hard to find with other companies as they only had examples of single doors installed and etc. I must say I did get an impatient throughout the production process, but it was partially my fault as we took forever to fully finalize our plans. Normal I’d say for such investment. Anyhow, our home is now complete and we absolutely love Love LOVE the steel windows and doors from Black Badge Doors! My advice is get started sooner than later!

> Found Black Badge online when I saw a video of their french doors. It was either Facebook or Instagram. I researched steel windows and door sometime ago, but never got around to it. We're thrown with the typical HomeDepot brands in our faces all the time so we kind of ge used to the brands we hear every day. Black Badge is not that. Black Badge is a custom steel fabricator that makes masterpieces of steel. I can see it in the arches, the hardware in the windows, the black backplates, even the homes they're in... it's something different. Now, working together I am so glad I stepped away from the typical brands and can build buildings that are truly unique and beautiful.

> We built a custom farmhouse and wanted steel windows and doors to get that timeless European look. The house is finished in 19th-century stone, and the first floor alone has 17 French doors and over 30 windows. Since we live in Massachusetts (hello, cold winters), the more we researched, the more we learned. If you're going with steel in a cold climate, you need a thermal break—and that basically means double the price.
