> Worked with Kim who is a very experienced practical and talented interior designer.  She has guided our cottage building and home renovations.  She works with her clients ideas and budget and can quickly conceptualize space and code requirements.  Her ideas stand the test of time.  We wouldn't move on making changes to our living space without consulting her.

**Q: Ivory or lavender drapes ?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

The green fireplace surround and painting will be going

A: It would be sophisticated to bring in another colour. perhaps the tone of the fireplace stone and the wallpape r- they both appear to have a slate grey tone. I would suggest a range of dark to medium with either a blue or green cast to the grey.

**Q: Just put in new backsplash and need help choosing a paint color for the kitchen.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I usually have a blue and white kitchen and have never tired of that color scheme. I now have maple cabinets, dark granite counters and today put in a new backsplash. (Attached are photos) Please give me your opinion about what color would be nice on the walls. I'd like something great looking and a bit brave...or should it be subtle? Thanks!

A: use fabric and tie your colours together.
