Our custom sugar maple table began separating 6 weeks after delivery, not to forget the air pockets visible on delivery. **Comment from Jeff Mack Designs:** > Hi Rob, > As per our initial conversation in regards to using the wood you provided, we discussed the risks and down side to using wood that was not kiln dried. After you assured me it was kiln dried, we went forward with building the table for you. Evidently, the wood you provided was not kiln dried which resulted in additional wood movement after the table was complete. We have built hundreds of River Tables (close to 1000 tables in total) without a single issue and your pictures are a great example of what happens to a table when the wood is not properly kiln dried. Luckily all the wood we provide and build our tables from a is kiln dried and at the perfect moisture content to build long lasting, high quality furniture. These photos are not an example of the quality we provide. They are solely an example of what a river table can look like without using kiln dried lumber/slabs. Jeff was able to have his team produce the table and bench within our time frame- just in time for Easter.
