We purchased a home this summer that needed quite a bit of renovating and remodeling before we could move in. Because we were using a construction loan, the bank required that our contractor's plans and budget estimate be submitted fairly quickly. CS Kitchen & Bath Studio worked extra quickly in that very short time frame to put together the necessary materials for the bank. They presented us with multiple floor plans for our kitchen renovation and master suite renovation--many of the elements in the designs were things we hadn't thought of ourselves but ended up LOVING. They have a great eye for design and made choosing cabinets, counters, fixtures, etc. easy for us. EVERY sub-contractor that worked on our project (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, tile, flooring, HVAC) was professional, reliable, and extremely good at their job. The scope of our project was relatively large: appx 2000 sq ft of flooring, complete kitchen remodel, adding in a quarter bath, redoing an upstairs full bath, and remodeling a master suite. But they finished the project by the time they said they would (in time for us to move in as planned). There have been a couple small things to finish up but they've been extremely communicative and quick in getting those done (no disappearing contractors here!) and we are absolutely thrilled with the final result. I was able to get exactly the look we wanted with the shaker door fronts in a Thermafoil finish instead of solid wood and save a huge chunk of the budget. Since we were able save on the cabinets and still get the look we wanted we got to utilize CS's awesome flooring expert to run wood floor throughout our kitchen. Without the savings from choosing Aspect Cabinets we wouldn't also have this gorgeous floor. Dan matched up the stain to the 60 year old wood and if you didn't know it you'd think it's all the same floor. They were also happy to let us do some of the work on other parts of the kitchen ourselves to save money. > Megan and the other ladies in the office were always willing to answer my questions with a very friendly and helpful attitude, and their kindness and patience is so much appreciated, especially when going through a major renovation! The North Point Cabinetry line was recommended to us but their door description for painted cabinets is "Painted doors are 5-piece MDF cope-and-stick construction with a 3/4” (19 mm) thick, 2-3/4” door frame with 1/4" MDF center panel". In my mind, I felt I should stay away from MDF, doesn't it scratch easily? We are trying to find the best quality for the budget obviously. Any thoughts? Thanks!
