We planned to create custom wood floors in our newly purchased custom home. > > The straight planks were installed in a few rooms that did not interface with the herringbone. When the only area where the floors met was installed, we realized we had two completely different products. > > We checked the boxes for both the herringbone and straight planks and they were both labeled properly. Not only are they a different color, they are a completely different finish, which you can see in the pictures taken across the surface. > > Can you imagine if they were supplying the wrong medications in the correct bottles? > > We have been dealing with Big D, who bought D&M, since January 2025. They did agree to submit a claim but we were told 2-3 weeks to process and we have gotten nothing but the run-around from Jorge Munoz at Big D. > > Jorge wants us to pay hundreds to return flooring that is mislabeled and cannot be resold. We have heard nothing on the claim that was filed months ago. As for the construction, they are all tongue and groove and they do not snap. Thank you! **Q: Is the floor safe for water and other spills?** *(in Photo Questions)* Can the flooring take multiple water spills without warping or causing the materiel to pop up? For example: Wet mop clean ups and kids spilling different types of liquids... A: Hi rcarlone, It is recommended that you clean up spills as soon as possible. Wet mopping is also not recommended on these floors. Liquids cause a variety of issues including staining, cracking, delaminating, warping, etc. The more moisture you expose the wood to, the more damage you could potentially experience. Also what happens with bigger spills and wet mopping is that the liquid will get in between the boards where it cannot be wiped up.
