Whalen, Dec. 2019** > I had a new basement staircase built to replace one that was over 50 years old. The 9 treads were unevenly spaced; all but one had no risers. There was no railing on one side. Filip's crew built a beautiful new staircase of poplar wood with a lovely grain in it. The new staircase has a handrail, post, and balusters. There are now 11 treads instead of 9, each with its own riser. The staircase is strong and safe, exactly as requested. The job was completed in a day and a half. I am very happy with the results. **★★★★★ — Irene Neamonitis, Nov. 2019** > “Quality work, excellent communication, reliable and trustworthy! > > Filip is very professional and completed our project in a timely manner. > > Stairway to Heaven is definitely one of the best. I definitely recommend them. My project came out beautifully! **★★★★★ — ASG Construction Group, Jan. 2019** > Filip has done a few projects for us, our clients are very satisfied with his work. We are very pleased with the end result, and would highly recommend him and his team. **★★★★★ — casey\_martin48, Feb. 2016** > I am a project manager for a general contractor who hired Stairway to Heaven to install treads and handrails on all stair cases throughout a very high end six story town house. I couldn't be happier with the work they did. Fillip was always available to discuss the project via phone or email and was extremely flexible in regards to scheduling around other trades. His intallationers were very courteous and professional craftsmen. Everything went very smoothly which is a refreshing change in an industry in which that isn't always the case. > Most importantly, my client was very impressed with the product Stairway to Heaven produced. I would definitely work with this company again. **★★★★★ — mconstructionny, Feb. 2016** > Challenging project , very detailed wood /metal, high end finishes, elegant curved staircase on a penthouse co-op building done to a perfection!! > Professional, accommodating , pleasant, real team members and very considering throughout the project. ## Selected projects - [Various](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/various-pj-vj~1574051) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 27 [See all 1 project](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/staircases-and-railings/stairway-to-heaven-of-new-york-inc-pfvwus-pf~26180415) ## Ideabooks - [interiors](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/70331662/list/interiors) — 16 ideas - [exteriors](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/70331676/list/exteriors) — 12 ideas [See all 2 ideabooks](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/users/filip-stairs) --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
