> I can not say enough about Bloom Your Space. Daniella is the most talented, hard working person ever!!! I am a mom of three boys, a messy husband and I admit I am not an organized person myself. She has helped me more than I can express! She truly understands my needs and family needs and helps me organize in a way that is actually possible to maintain. She has taught me so many tricks along the way. I am so grateful for Bloom Your Space!!! She has brought organization to our chaos. Thank you thank you!!!!

> I highly recommend Bloom Your Space. I have had Dani coming to my house 3 times so far. I am a working mother of two. Over the years with my family being the priority, my house has become very cluttered. I contacted bloom your space to help me with my highly used areas, the kitchen and the playroom/office area. I have to admit these two rooms where so crowded that I was uncomfortable all of the time and so was my family. Not to mention that I would dread having people over. Dani came for an evaluation gave me so many tips and great ideas. I did a lot on my own, but her touch was the key. Dani has a functional vision of organization. She aims for a functional way that will work for the whole family and that we can actually maintain. I remember asking her if she thought that I could maintain what she had done. She reassured me that it takes less time maintaining than looking for stuff or buying more things that I already have. I have to say that after organizing. I have rescued the pride and love for these areas of my house. I love to open the drawers and cabinets to get something that I need. I have to admit that find myself opening my pantry door and smiling. I know that may sound funny, but it's true. I cannot wait to work on other areas of my house.

**Comment from Bloom Your Space Organizing:**

> Awe! It has been a real pleasure working with you! You are a quick learner and I am trilled to know your organized spaces can put a smile in your face! I look forward to helping you again! Thank you for the kind review!

 - Description: This client has been working with the organizer for months in the inside spaces of her house. Some toys that are strictly used outdoors had been found in indoor closets and rooms, but couldn't be properly put away because the garden shed needed to be organized. Access to the shed was blocked and it was not only hard to find anything in it, it was actually difficult to know what was there! A after postponing this project for many weeks because of rain, this shed is ready for lots of fun and play!…

 - Description: This is a client who has been working with the organizer Daniela Cohen on several projects throughout her house. She is guided weekly on products to buy in advance for that week's project. For the first time she has authorized the release of pictures, which means she is getting proud of her accomplishments. There wasn't much of a categorization at all in this pantry. So the organizer divided the contents into sessions: cooking, baking, sweet snacks, salty snacks, medicine, party supplies, etc. A…

## Community Q&A

**Q: Nailed it down...your pick?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello all,
I've nailed down four ottomans I like for my living room (to replace coffee table), but I'm not sure which one goes with the rest of the furniture, if at all. NOTE: This is not about room size or rearranging the space (we are moving), it's solely about what looks best with my existing furniture. My criteria: It makes the room warm, cozy, inviting and adds a causal element.
\*Thank you all for your continued help and advice. Sometimes it's hard to hear, but I appreciate all comments\*

A: As others pointed, whichever matches better the recliner. Is it possible to rotate the recliner a little more so it is not almost parallel with the couch?

**Q: HELP!! My Living Room Disaster...** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello everyone,
I am a long time lurker. I purchased a home over a year ago, but my living room is still unfinished and I need some help. I would like to add fuchsia pink into this room, I'm just not sure how. Please give some advice on what to do with this room. I would love everyone's input. See the attached photos........Thanks!!

A: You are welcome, Christel! That's how it is... experiment, change up, get inspired! Have fun decorating!

**Q: Need help with lighting** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Any suggestions for new lighting in small dinng room? This hanging fixture is just too busy Would appreciate any advice! Thanks!

A: Whatever you choose, please don't put a fan :D
Yes, the light shoud be pretty much 3 feet from the table, which will make it "compete" less with the detail on the hutch behind it. I like the idea of a Drum fixture in light color to blend with the walls and because of the simplicity of the design, drawing the attention to the china and furniture behind it. (If possible, consider moving the speakers - or wahtever the black boxes on top of the hutch are - to the center of the hutch where it will not show as much.)

**Q: COREtec Plus Flooring** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are building and looking for a wide rustic plank floor. I stopped into a flooring store and am most intrigued by the benefits of COREtec.
If had hardwoods before and love them. However, the ice maker in the kitchen leaked, he dishwasher leaked and over time all that leaking caused severe damage. We replaced the kitchen floor area with tile - the transition looked great. Regarding the rest of the floor, over time between the dog and sun beating in the dining room, we put up with scratches and sun damage.
So now the dilemma. COREtec is water proof and scratch resistant (and easy to replace a piece if it does get scratched). It is also vinyl. If it looks great (and I have a huge multi room area), nearly the same price as solid hardwoods (yet I will save on installation). Regarding resell, will this hurt me?

A: After reading treads like this one for a year,we have finally put our heads around the idea of having our whole first floor done with LVP/LVT. Yes, the name "Vinyl" has hunted me! We live on a gated community in Katy, with custom homes. Most people here are very traditional and conservative when it comes to design. Most stores I go to, talking about LVP are even surprised I know about it and in fact usually offer a small selection. Most times, I know more about it than their staff (after such extensive research I have been doing).
Here is our case. We do have a few dilemas...
Floors to be replaced: original 1991 red oak solid wood 3/4 inch in kitchen, BF area and family room (about) - we know it could be sanded and stained but we don't like the style, the width and don't wan't another 1000+ sq ft of that- wide entry and powder room has 3/4 inch marble (leveled with oak where it meets), plus 3 rooms with carpet - dining, office, master + m. closet. (We will be also doing the laundry room with tile our stairs with solid wood black/white risers, black rails). Total sq ftg to be done is close to 2000.
Reasons we chose LVP are resistance, we have entrance from the pool to the kitchen and master br, kids and parties (we are from Brazil - LOVE parties :) and two small but active dogs.
Kitchen cabinets and family room built in sit on top of oak floors. Baseboards are already 7 inches wide, walls are slightly textured and whole house was painted less than 2 yeras ago.
We love Coretec Plus Clear Lake Oak (wish they had the same color in wider planks) and Parkay Floors XPS Mega in Cobalt Brown (9 3/8' x 60" planks) as you can see on picture bellow almost exactly the same color as the Coretec. Why can't I find any commnets about the XPS mega?? Is it a good brand? Any PRO here with experience on them - good or bad? What I like about it is that is a 22mil top layer (6.5mm), plus the wide planks which I think might look better for such large open area.
Problem is, of the 3 floor stores we visited each one suggests different installation... One says "we only glue down, it's the best, we give lifetime warranty on our instalation", the other says "we remove your floors and float this right on top of your concrete - with the coretec we don't put a pad because itv already has the cork layer", and the other thinks in our case (I will explain bellow) "we will float the vinyl on top of you wood and marble floors and lay plywood where you have carpet to level with rest. Vinyl planks are much better floating than glued down"! None of them talked about moisture barrier. None of them want to remove the baseboards. (And honestly I would preffer not having to refinish with texture, repaint, etc... all rooms in whole first floor) Argh..... Help!
The issues we forsee are, our floor being so thick (3/4") and replacement so thin, even when an moisture barrier or pad is added under, what will they do around doorways with the large gap? Will a a quarter round even have anything to be attached to? Some talked about removing all floors, laying plywood to raise the floor and then layng the planks on top??? What do they do with the existing floor that is under cabinets/built ins? And the waterfall granite we have? Seems impossible to cut under cabinets. For the ones who talked about simply leaving the floor and floating the new floor on top. We have one door that the underside rubber (dont know the name) seems to already touch the existing floor... Laying plywood where are now the carpeted areas something ok?
Our local US floors is bringing their installer here today so he can give his expertise advice.
