## Community Q&A

**Q: Need Advice on Family room redesign** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I need help to redesign my family room to be more modern and lively and also to add a flat TV in the corner or above chimney

A: Here are some more inspiration images

**Q: Nursery room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi there,
I need your advice once again please: My baby is due 24th December so it is time to prepare room for my little boy. All walls and ceiling are ready to paint. In my head I have thousand ideas but so far the best of them is Winnie the Pooh theme. I would like to paint something like basicDisneys background (like green hills , blue sky and white clouds) and put on stickers. What do you think about it?

A: Can you post pictures of the room, to get a better idea what would work in the space?

**Q: Bath remodel** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are remodeling our master bath, gutting it so no need for pictures yet. Am going with ceramic or porcelin tiles for floor and shower walls and floor. Was wondering if we go with laminate countertop for vanity, which is about 6 feet long, is it worth it? Should we just bite the bullet and go for quartz, or silestone? Won't have granite as it is a possible radon emitter!
Thanks.

A: I think it's worth going with stone. Have you looked into Corian options? There are a lot of colors available. Also the seams can be sanded and won't be visible. Marble is a nice option as well.

**Q: Apartment with small, high windows.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Im considering moving into a flat where only 3 rooms have windows & those windows are small and near the ceiling. The flat is already painted white & the light would need to be on all the time. I'm wondering if living there is going to be at all do-able? Can i do anything to make the place feel any better? I can't imagine not being able to look out of a window again!

A: Not the same as having a real view, but you can install a photorealistic wallpaper on one of the walls, like a cityscape or nature. There are tons to choose from
