Initially we were drawn to David after seeing some of his completed projects. We love his contemporary style, use of light and his indoor/outdoor concepts. We presented him a challenging lot upon which to work with. It is a small, city, infill lot with a steep slope to contend with. Working closely with the city, structural engineer and geo tech engineer, he determined all the setbacks, limitations and requirements of the lot, then he set out maximizing the potential of it. He listened to our wants and wishes and than put his creative abilities to work. He is easy to work with—prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. Because we live out of state, most of our interactions were either through Skype, phone calls, or emails, but because of his patience and friendly demeanor the design process was seamless. In the end we are extremely happy with our home design and are excited to begin the building phase.
