### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Ken Waters, Sept. 2023**

> I had to convert a walk in shower to a roll in shower on a quick schedule. It was not an easy redo. John and his staff worked with me on the design and materials and he had a great crew begin work on the shower conversion the following week. They showed up every day and did a fabulous job, completing the project in just over 2 weeks on budget and on time. Would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them.

> Nice showroom - then it’s all downhill from there.
>
> I dislike writing bad reviews, but if I can save one person/family from the horrific experience we had with our two bathroom remodels - then I will rest easier.
>
> There is no way I can possibly relay everything that went wrong with this company so I will try to summarize.
>
> Designer - Was knowledgeable and easy to work with. However, there was no attention to detail. In fact, she quit the company (she later returned) and our job fell through the cracks for 7 weeks even though we paid a deposit, signed two contracts and paid upfront for the materials to be ordered. We signed our contract on June 24, 2021 and the work did not begin until October 11. The work was not completed until January, 2022 - about ten days ago.
>
> Project Manager - He was rude, abrupt, uncaring and bordered on inhumane when our first “finished” bathroom flooded four times, leaving us with NO bathrooms to use. The only time we saw him was when he wanted the next check. WE ended up managing our own project and were actually happy when he didn’t show up. He started problems or made them worse; he was not a project manager or a problem solver. Absolutely incompetent or simply did not care. Not sure which.
>
> Owner - We met him twice. Once to shake his hand after we signed the contracts, the second time when he arrived for the walkthrough of our project on August 27. He was arrogant, rude and unhelpful. He would not answer our questions about the contracts and, instead, immediately produced a change order to those contracts upping the cost of the materials (which had never been ordered in the first place). He tried to pre-qualify us out of the job until he realized how much money we had already paid upfront. Then he changed his tune and demeanor. We should have fired him then and there - which was the mistake WE made and lived to regret. Lesson learned. After the second meeting, we never saw or talked to him again - despite all of the problems. He simply never returned our phone calls.
>
> The Subcontractor Crew - Generally nice people but WAY out of their league. Sloppy, shoddy work. They dropped a work rag into our sewer line causing our “newly renovated” full bath to flood four times - so badly that the water flowed through the floor joists into the room below. The flooding ruined the grouting for the new floor, which had to be completely redone. They installed the toilet improperly (used wrong flange and seated it below the subfloor) and failed to seal any of the shower fixtures so that water again leaked in between the newly tiled walls and down through the floor into the room below. A master plumber had to be called in twice to fix the mess they made. We later found out that the leader of this crew used to work directly for this company, but was FIRED for shoddy work! Yet they subcontracted him and his crew to do our job.
>
> My advice - walk away and be glad you did.

> I highly recommend that you DO NOT USE this remodeling outfit!! John is an arrogant and obnoxious person once he gets you under contract. We fired them after they partially completed two of three bathrooms. We were grossly overcharged and had to have our attorney take care of John's baseless threats of placing a lien against our house if we didn't pay his grossly overpriced charges over what he agreed to in his contract. It was an aweful, aweful experience. Find someone else!!

> Our kitchen renovation began March 17 and was completed May 28, five weeks behind schedule. After two different project managers and a designer assigned to our project, that left the company, the owner, finally hired a first rate project manager to see our job to completion. Prior to that hire, our project sat idle for weeks until we sent pictures to the owner explaining our dissatisfaction with his oversight. He came out to review our kitchen and nothing happened for two more weeks. That is when he finally appointed the third project manager. During the renovation, the owner never mailed or emailed a statement to us. Once the project was nearing completion the new project manager asked for an email address at the request of the accounting department. Soon thereafter, we received a statement saying our account was in arrears. The owner put a lien on our property and refused to pay the contractor. What kind of company sends a bill and within a day puts a lien on your property without the customer having the opportunity to review the invoice? While we are satisfied with the completed project, we would not recommend using this company.

> My experience with the principal owner of this business should be a clear indicator of how your experience with them will be.. not to mention the rest of the reviews here.
>
> It started off great, called in, spoke with a wonderful woman who helped me get an appointment booked and we talked about some initial needs.
>
> A week later I met with the owner at my property and this is where it all went south.
>
> First, he showed up 15 minutes late. If you're going to be late to an appointment with a prospective customer, you call or text.
>
> Second, the guy was just unprepared. He knew nothing about why we were meeting, he asked very few questions to understand our context, and we had to lead the entire time. He seemed completely disinterested in being there. As a result, he did not offer any value in our discussions, and overall it just felt like prying teeth to just get the conversation and appointment moving along. The only time he opened up and took some initiative was to give us his pitch about how successful his business is and his back story. In sales this is what we call a "Me and My product" approach, it's selfish. As opposed to a "Customers and solving their problems" approach.
>
> If the guy is as wildly successful as he took the time to tell me, then he should hire someone to do the selling for him because he clearly is not capable of selling anything.
>
> These guys think they can charge $55+/sqft for a basement without even asking ANY QUESTIONS about what we wanted in terms of style, size, anything. Every other quote I've gotten has been faster, more detailed, and cheaper. Again further evidence that they are not interested in you, or your project. They want to throw a canned experience at you in hopes that you bite.
>
> What's worse? He never follow-up from our conversations. A week goes by and I call him, his response was like we never spoke "Apologies what were the follow-up items?".. I explained my frustration to which he responded "I go on about 25 of these calls a week I'm sorry I don't remember"...
>
> Here's the kicker... my parents had gone to them a week prior, about a project on their home, and they ALSO got zero follow-up.

**★★★★★ — Sandra Knight, April 2018**

> We were complete novices with remodeling. We had only heard horror stories from some friends. Apparently we lucked out finding Remodeling Expo Center. They treated us like royalty, they communicated well with us, they always arrived on time and the designs they developed were superb. The project was only 2 days late and the final bill was exactly what the original contract stated. Our remodeling experience was wonderful. I refer them to my friends all the time. If you're considering a remodel, you need to talk to these guys.

**★★★★★ — Beth Larming, April 2018**

> I contracted with Remodeling Expo Center to finish my basement and I must say that it turned out way beyond my expectations. I feel like I live in a high end magazine. The designers there are artists, the installers are pros and their Design Center made it very easy for me to get the project done. There really is no other company that can bring all of this together. I interviewed 3 other companies and none of them even came close. I actually expected a much higher price from them based upon all them have to offer. I wouldn't hesitate to hire this company again.

**★★★★★ — User, April 2018**

> The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is simple amazing. It took a good while but I didn't mind. I had 4 guys working every day for 5 weeks. There wasn't a single idle day. Perfection takes time. What I have to tell you is that some companies just don't have the talent and Remodeling Expo has it. They have true craftsman.

**★★★★★ — Mary Miller, Jan. 2017**

> Brittany designed a beautiful kitchen. Fred and his team did an amazing job implementing that design and creating an awesome laundry room as well. They went above and beyond to make us happy while still keeping this project within our budget and finishing on time!

**★★★★ — Jack Manning, Nov. 2016**

> Installation guys were absolutely amazing. Kitchen redo included tear out of a wall and relocation of appliances. Overall, believe they performed remarkably well and were willing to add the minor touches to put the project over the top.

**★★★★★ — Steve M, Nov. 2016**

> From start to finish, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. They were very helpful in the design phase, offering good technical and other advice. The construction was timely and efficient and completed with minimal disruption. The real star of the show however was the lead contractor and project manager, Fred Perdomo. He is the consummate professional. It's obvious that he cares about the quality of his work. If you want someone you can trust, that will deliver as promised, hire this man. Fred, a personal thanks to you and your team for giving us a beautiful kitchen that we will enjoy for may years to come.

**★★★★ — Amy Bogue, Nov. 2016**

> Our full kitchen remodel with Remodeling Expo Center was a great success. We are very happy with our new kitchen. All the staff from the owner, project manager, designers as well as all the contractors were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and skilled. We also had a powder room redone and all the hardwood floors refinished. The company allows you to have all these renovations done as a one stop shop. The only downside (if any) was the timeline for completion. The project took a couple of weeks longer than originally anticipated. We would highly recommend.
