**★★★★★ — Sean Raggio, Jan. 2019**

> I have to admit, I was nervous when the Koncerted team started installing all of these new technologies in my home. I did not know if I would be able to control my own home, but after Bill (Director of Experience) stopped by and went through our new set up step-by-step, I feel super confident. I am not longer nervous about adding new tech into my home, but excited to see what Koncerted suggests next!

> Ed takes the time to fully understand my routine and interest before he gives suggestions. He added Amazon Alexa voice commands that allow me to turn on my lights and open my shades with one word. Very cool. Thanks Ed!

  - Description: Built in 1969 with only one previous owner, this quaint Cape house needed a full renovation. We took the opportunity to wire for both the client’s current and future needs. Ultra-high bandwidth cabling throughout the house allows for the next internet speed bump over 1 gigabit. The owners are self-described “recovering audiophiles,” so the speaker and equipment selection required a high-end solution to achieve this sound quality throughout 18 zones of indoor and outdoor audio. In addition, a lig…

## Community Q&A

**Q: color of shades** *(in Photo Questions)*

what color are these shades? looking for an example of lutron motorized shades white pearl 3%, s0207-e-3

A: I do not have a picture with that particular shade. I am sorry I could not be more help. If you have any questions let me know and we can assist.

**Q: Design troubles around fireplace** *(in Home Entertainment)*

We have this awesome cherry mantle above our fireplace. We are having a really hard time trying to figure out how to finish the room. We need to do something for storage and for a better look to finish off each side of the fireplace. I’m looking for any ideas.

A: What are the dimensions of the spaces above the fireplace?

**Q: looking for expert advice on bonus home theatre room** *(in Home Entertainment)*

Hi, we will be building soon and have a bonus room of approx 30 x 18 and are looking for expert advice on how to design this room while in the early stages. Should we look for online sources as we don't live in an area where we've not found any good local experts?Any recommendations?

A: I highly recommend starting your search now for a home theater installer. It is much easier to have wires run when the sheetrock hasn't been installed. Depending on budgeting needs there should be plenty of experts in your area.

I recommend using the Houzz Pro Search to find a professional installer in your area. If not Home Advisor may be of assistance. If you have any questions about the installation itself please feel free to reach out and I can steer you in the right direction.

Good Luck!

**Q: Attractive but dated kitchen gets a fabulous new look!** *(in Before & After)*

By removing walls and reconfiguring appliance placement, the homeowners achieved a more cohesive family gathering area. The island becomes a focal point with distinctive pendant lighting and seating. The island, range hood, and paneled front refrigerator add contrast to the all white cabinets. New wide plank flooring and custom woodwork create a flow into the expanded space.

A: The new wood floor and marble countertops are an excellent touch! The kitchen definitely has more of an open flow to it now. Great work!

**Q: Chairs? Coffee table?** *(in Photo Questions)*

This room and it's furniture is immaculate. The chairs almost look like Pearsall. Any specs would be appreciated.

A: I love the color scheme in this room! The shade's color was a fantastic choice!

**Q: Before and After Kitchen - Back Bay, Boston** *(in Before & After)*

1920-era home had been renovated in the 1980s, but the renovations were looking dated. Plus, the floor plan did not work for a couple who loved to cook and entertain. Among many other changes, a coat closet was relocated to create a kitchen entrance through a butler’s pantry adjacent to the foyer. We updated kitchen and butler pantries with extensive food preparation and wine storage areas, multiple sinks, a bar area, professional grade range and range hood, and a large refrigerator supplemented with refrigerator and freezer drawers. Ventilation required some creative thinking since the Back Bay (Boston) Architectural Commission prohibits exterior penetrations. The commercial grade range hood in the kitchen is so powerful that air needed to be brought back in to the kitchen to maintain pressure. The solution was change a window to incorporate a transom. Ventilation now occurs through the transom, and an elaborate soffit system carries the air throughout the home.

A: A complete transformation! I absolutely love your choice in light fixtures. It really pulls the room together.
