We created Inglenook Thin Brick Tile out of a passion for the timeless elegance and warmth that brick can bring to a home. Each brick tile is unique and handcrafted to look like historic walls or floors, indoors or outdoors.

Every tile is hand made in Pennsylvania, using molds of antique bricks and pressing natural materials, like wood ash, in the wet tiles. The resulting brick tiles are thin (either 3/8" or 1/2" thick) and much lighter than full-sized brick. Most importantly, our hand-formed brick tiles are indistinguishable from antique brick. As one customer describes, Inglenook brick tile "at 20 feet and at 2 feet...is the real stuff by sight and touch."

Successfully tested by the Tile Council of America for strength and resistance to freeze-thaw cycles, Inglenook brick tiles will stand the test of time indoors or outdoor, leaving your touch for decades to come. Thin brick products made from sliced brick, by comparison, are brittle and porous - ill-suited to stand up to the wear and tear of a busy family or business.

Inglenook Brick Tile, is the most authentic, durable and customizable thin brick tile on the market today. We will work with you to make sure you achieve the look you've been imagining for your home or business. Contact us for samples and a consultation about your project. We can't wait for you to discover the historic beauty and quality of the Inglenook brick tiles for yourself.

> Inglenook Tile is amazing. They can help with any of your brick tile needs. I had a job that needed a tile that was impossible to find till I contacted Julie at Inglenook. They personally worked with me to custom make the tile I needed. They are amazing. You cannot find people and companies like theirs out there. I would highly recommend reaching out to them before you go anywhere else.

> This company offers a unique and stunning product that we have t been able to find anywhere else. We’ve put the bricks in three of our homes we’ve been in now and have loved them each time! It’s always a place people take notice and compliment. Also worth mentioning, we’ve had them in laundry, bathroom, and mudroom entries. The mudroom entry adds an extra bonus of any dirt and grime collecting in the groves, not transferring to the rest of the home and then when time for cleanup, it’s a breeze. A very practical and beautiful option! The bricks themselves are beautifully done. The packaging is secure and we’ve never dealt with damaged goods. Their customer service is such that you know they truly care. And on top of that, correspondence is timely, professional, friendly and considerate. I fully recommend Inglenook Tile and their products to anyone wanting a unique stunner in their home design!

**Comment from Inglenook Tile Design:**

> Thank you, Hayley! I'm grateful for customers like you who are so appreciative of our work.

**★★★★★ — Shelly Anselmo Project Coordinator, Feb. 2025**

The beauty of their hand-crafted materials is beautiful, durable, and timeless. When placing an order, you will work directly with an Owner that cares about the product and the experience.

**Comment from Inglenook Tile Design:**

> Thank you, Shelly! FoxBuilt has been one of our favorite customers, and I love it that you are local. Your work is outstanding!

**★★★★★ — Nancy King, Feb. 2025**

> My house is 100 years old, so I wanted to keep the look of the original brick hearth. Inglenook Tile was the perfect solution in achieving my goal. We completely gutted the kitchen and used the beautiful bricks for the flooring, we also replaced the hearth in the fireplace. I love the organic feel when I walk barefoot in the kitchen. The product is over the top and well worth it. Julie is the best at answering and explaining everything. Highly recommend!!!

**Comment from Inglenook Tile Design:**

> Hi Nancy, and thank you for your recommendation! I have enjoyed working with you!

> We had the pleasure of working with Julie from Inglenook Tile on a project for an historic home in Old Town Alexandria. Their ability to customize the tile is limitless - from color, shape and size you can truly make the tile fit your needs. The clients even drove up to PA to have their kids customize their own bricks to leave their mark in the historic home. Julie is a fantastic business woman, patient with the clients and customer service and quality are her utmost concerns.

**Comment from Inglenook Tile Design:**

> Thank you so much, Anne Marie! I loved working with you, too. Your attention to the needs of your clients is an inspiration.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Detailed questions** *(in Photo Questions)*

What type of ash was used on this brick at at what % ash and %mix of the ash vs standard brick? What was the grout color used? Which sealant and wax were used to get this finish? And lastly how was the grout installed to minimize haze. This is beautiful and the baseline inspiration for my kitchen floor.

Side question - who did the range hood?

A: Hi Christine! It is King Street, and half have wood ash (not heavy). As for the finishing and cabinets, the work was done in RI, and I wasn't part of that discussion. The customer has since moved, and I don't have her contact information now. I think she may not know the answers to those questions herself, because she used a builder who used subs. Thanks!

**Q: What color is the wall and ceiling paint** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you!!

**Q: What did you use to seal the brick?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi! The tile is sealed here with a penetrating sealer. They can either darken the tiles, or dry back to the original color. I like Aqua Mix products. These sealers are matte.

**Q: what is the cost?** *(in Photo Questions)*

How much does this brick tile cost? Is it per tile or sf?

A: It is sold by the square foot, and it depends on the number of square feet you need. Most range between $10 and $13/ sq. ft. . They are all made by hand and to order, so there will always be some lead time. Thanks!

**Q: Was this tile choice a color mix? If so, what was used? Thanks!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hello, There were a series of questions on my Houzz that I never saw until today! This is one of them, from too long ago! It is our King Street style, in a mix with off-white clay powders and wood ashes fired into the clay. The tiles are fired in different parts of the kiln, where temperatures are slightly warmer, and this gives you these darker and lighter tones in the clay. Thank you!

**Q: Love the floor. What colourway and which pattern?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi! Sorry, I didn't see this question! It is Wright's Ferry brick, in the Savannah color mix. Thank you! call at 717-806-2900 to order samples!
