**★★★★★ — Tony Crisp, Aug. 2023**

> I had the pleasure of working with Letter Four on a project for the student bookstore at the University of California, Irvine, and I can't praise their services enough. From start to finish, they demonstrated professionalism and expertise that truly stood out.
>
> Communication was a breeze, with their team being remarkably responsive and attentive. They not only listened to our needs but also actively engaged in discussions to understand the project's requirements thoroughly.
>
> The design quality was exceptional, reflecting a modern and innovative approach that perfectly aligned with the university's vision. What impressed me even more was their flexibility in adapting to the changing needs of the university. They seamlessly incorporated adjustments while maintaining the high standards of their work.
>
> The project management was exemplary, marked by transparency and consistent updates. Whether it was online communication or Zoom meetings, they ensured that we were always in the loop, informed about progress and any potential challenges.
>
> Flexibility shone through when the project timeline had to be adjusted not once, but twice! Letter Four took these changes in stride, demonstrating remarkable adaptability and a commitment to accommodating our new timelines.
>
> One highlight of the experience was having the principals on-site, collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders. Their involvement in conceptualizing ideas that would enhance student life within the campus bookstore was invaluable. It truly showcased their dedication to creating spaces that have a positive impact.
>
> In a nutshell, my collaboration with Letter Four was a resounding success. Their communication, design quality, project management, flexibility, and hands-on approach exceeded all expectations. If you're seeking a white-glove design-build firm experience that combines expertise with a genuine commitment to client satisfaction, I wholeheartedly recommend Letter Four.
>
> Kudos to their team for a job exceptionally well done!

**★★★★★ — Jaime Bussell, Aug. 2020**

> We hired Letter Four to design and rebuild our late 1940's house in West LA. We basically replaced everything: plumbing, electrical, and the entire interior. We moved the kitchen from the front to the rear of the house, changed the roof line, enclosed a deck area and turned it into a master bathroom, and extended the back half. Lauren and Jeremy were very patient and open to our ideas and ever growing wish list. Everything was organized, itemized and well communicated, and our project manager was top notch. The build team is impeccable with excellent attention to detail. Despite only being a residential client in the midst of a lot of their larger commercial projects, they never made me feel like a small fish, and my questions and requests were always quickly addressed. We loved the result, and a few years later got multiple bids well over asking price the first week that we put the house on the market.

> Thank you so much for the kind words! It was a pleasure working alongside you to design and build your home. We enjoyed the journey and so pleased with the final result. We wish you all the best on your new adventure!

**★★★★★ — Jennifer Miller, Sept. 2018**

> The summary of this long overdue review is that we would highly recommend Letter Four for all aspects of the design/build process. We hired Letter Four to do a complete re-build of our house (taking it from a 1300sf single story house to a 3,000sf two story house and completely redesigning the entire facade). This was a major project, particularly for a couple with very little experience in construction or renovations. Admittedly, as is the case with all construction projects, there were some unanticipated delays throughout the process. But, the large majority of these were at no fault of Letter Four's and, if ever they did make a mistake, they did everything in their power to rectify the problem as quickly and painlessly as possible.
>
> In my book, the responses and reactions to issues are more important than the issues themselves and whenever an unexpected issue did arise, Letter Four was exceedingly fair, reasonable, and responsive. This was of vital importance to me, and I commend them for their integrity.
>
> In addition to their customer service, I could not be happier with the end result. Lauren and Jeremy are truly masters of their respective trades. Running a business is hard, but it brought us great comfort to know that they were there, behind the scenes, to assist with both the architectural and construction related aspects of the project. I also have to give a major shout-out to their Project Manager, Emmet, who could not have been more helpful, kind, responsive, friendly, knowledgeable, or easy to work with. One of the hardest parts of running a small business is hiring employees who will properly represent the company and maintain the same level of customer service you, as an owner, would provide. Lauren and Jeremy have certainly excelled in this realm, as Emmet was truly a rockstar.
>
> If you hire Letter Four for your design/build needs, you will not be disappointed!

**★★★★★ — Andrei Muresianu, March 2018**

> Jeremy and Lauren led the renovation of our home in Santa Monica Canyon. The original house was a tribute to 1991 Miami Vice, a big modern white thing with polished black granite floors and shag carpet. Every single room needed to be fixed. They opened up the rooms to let light into every corner, worked with us to make it both kid-friendly and beautiful and were comfortable integrating some of our preferences for specific ceramic tiles, art and metalwork with their design vision. Along the way we discovered ways that the original builder had cut costs and/or parts of the house were simply giving out (old thin plumbing, a structural issue supporting the staircase, etc). These things will happen in any major renovation and it is important how your contractor handles them when they do. Jeremy was great in communicating exactly what the issue was and how we could solve it in a way that was best for our budget and timeline. Wonderful.

**★★★★★ — Rebecca Oberman, Feb. 2018**

> We hired Letter Four to do a pretty substantial remodel of our mid-century modern home, which had not been updated since the 1950s. This involved a complete redo of the kitchen and bathrooms, as well as some structural changes. As new homeowners with no experience in renovation or design, we were very nervous about such a huge undertaking! However, we were immediately put at ease when we started working with Letter Four. They were very thorough and allowed us to be as hands-on or removed as we wanted to be. They handled all the permitting, vendors, subcontracts, and ordering and worked through numerous obstacles on our behalf! Lauren's eye for design is spot-on and we basically went with almost all of her choices, without a second thought! Overall a great experience and we would definitely work with them again!

**Comment from LETTER FOUR, INC.:**

> Thank you so much Rebecca! It was great working with you and Steve and we hope that you're loving your home!

**★★★★★ — matilda zoltowski, Feb. 2018**

> “We hired Letter Four to do a ton of work over the whole of our house while we were out of town for a few weeks (painting all walls and woodwork, complete kitchen face lift, new floors to name a few things). They got the job done immaculately, on schedule and on budget, and left the house clean, tidy and in good order for our return. I can't speak highly enough of their reliability, efficiency and the high quality of their work. I'd hire them again in a heart beat!"

**Comment from LETTER FOUR, INC.:**

> Thank you so much for your kind words Matilda! We're excited to be working together again to create your second story addition!

**★★★★★ — Alastair Duncan, Jan. 2018**

> Letter Four rock - they helped us with two bathroom re-models in our new house. Loved working with Jeremy and Lauren. They gave us a lot of great advice outside the work they did, which was a really awesome resource, and helped us keep within budget while delivering a great design.

**★★★★★ — Adriana Zinn Interios, Oct. 2017**

> We hired Lauren and Jeremy to help us with our remodel back in 2013 to turn our 1930's Spanish style house into something that would work for a family of four, with a budget. The end result is amazing; we turned a choppy 2 bed 1.75 bath house into a beautiful open concept, 3 bed 2 and a half bath home with all the modern conveniences but keeping with the traditional style of the original house. We have gotten nothing but good comments about our home and I am as pleased with the outcome as I am with the service that LetterFour provided to us.

**Comment from LETTER FOUR, INC.:**

> Thank you for your kind words, Kevin! We are incredibly pleased with how your home turned out and loved working with you and Adriana to make your home all that you wished for it to be. We can't wait to (finally) photograph it!

**★★★★★ — Camilla Granasen, June 2017**

> Letter Four are a dream to work with, they are creative out-of-the-box thinkers and always deliver. I have had the pleasure to work with them on several occasions on design projects, and they have always exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for someone that can give you multiple solutions and gorgeous design that works with your building or budget, look no further.

**Comment from LETTER FOUR, INC.:**

> Thank you Camilla! It has been great working with you over the years and we can't tell you how much we appreciate your continued referrals. We hope to get to work together again soon!

  - Description: Crestway Drive, in the historic Los Angeles neighborhood of View Park, was a Mid-Century Modern gem in need of some polishing. At 4080 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, the homeowners did not need additional square footage, but certain refinements were in order. We took what was previously a small, dark kitchen and butler’s pantry and completely reconfigured, while also adding skylights to create an open, functional, light-filled space. We also opened the dining room to the kitchen…

  - Description: Welcome to our newly expanded headquarters on the westside of Los Angeles, where Culver City meets Mar Vista! This space is the realization of a dream nearly 15 years in the making: to own, design, and build a custom office that reflects the spirit of Letter Four with a timeless, functional, and eclectic aesthetic. The original building was an old laundromat and needed to be gutted and reconstructed to meet the creative and practical needs of a modern design-build firm. So we fully reimagined it…

  - Description: For this Pacific Palisades project, the homeowners sought out LETTER FOUR's complete Design-Build services to fully transform a dark, 1950s Spanish-style bungalow into their dream home. The original house was a small, single-story on an oddly-shaped lot with an awkward floor plan which simply wasn't functional for a growing family. We added a second story, a roof deck, reconfigured the first floor, and fully transformed the finishes, fixtures, flow, function, and feel of the home, all while secu…

  - Description: On the corner of Franklin and Mulholland, within Mulholland Scenic View Corridor, we created a rustic, modern barn home for some of our favorite repeat clients. This home was envisioned as a second family home on the property, with a recording studio and unbeatable views of the canyon. We designed a 2-story wall of glass to orient views as the home opens up to take advantage of the privacy created by mature trees and proper site placement. Large sliding glass doors allow for an indoor outdoor ex…

  - Description: During the pandemic, we decided to take advantage of the shut down and focus our attention on an A-Frame Cabin our Co-Owner Lauren bought several years ago. Built in 1967 from three A-Frame kits, the cabin felt dark, with lots of wood, green, and brown tones. We wanted to make thoughtful updates to brighten the space while still remaining true to the mid-century modern style. We remodeled both bathrooms, replaced dark paneling and doors with lighter options, and added color and an element of fun…
