**Q: Who makes the accent tile around the medallion?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thanks for the question! The medallion colors are - Cream Travertine Background (Tumbled), Dark Emperador Outer Border and Inner Diamond (Polished), Noche Swirls (Polished). Please contact Amber at (877) 895-9775 for more information.

**Q: Tile didn't line up-- Should we have the tile work re-done?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

The tile is 12X24 calacatta ceramic, and the grout line for the wall did not line up with the floor. Given the tile layout is different, is it normal? The contractor claimed that the tile is slightly less than 12" wide so there was no way to line it up all the way--  We have no experience and are not sure if it is just an excuse? Is it possible to cut the long side a little bit to match 2X the width? Thanks for your input!

A: With this type of installation (both the walls and floors brick joint) with large format tiles running in different directions, there would be no possible way to have all of the grout joints line up. We install around a thousand new homes each year and I think It looks beautiful! Be sure to post pictures of the finished room.

**Q: Ann Sacks taste on a tight budget** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We're about to embark on a gut renovation of a brownstone in Brooklyn on a fairly tight budget, so we're trying to save where we can while still ending up with a beautiful, well-designed comfortable home.  We've been able to find less expensive alternatives for just about every major design component, but we're getting stuck on the tile.  I've of course fallen in love with a few backsplash options at Ann Sacks that we're unlikely to be able to find elsewhere for less...or can we?  Are there places that sell Ann Sacks or New Ravenna mosaics outside of New York for significantly less? Is there a tile out there that you are familiar with that will give us the look we want for less?  Any information would be greatly appreciated!
