We interviewed several contractors and settled on B&M Building Company owned by Joe Moser. His estimates were neither lowest or highest but his company's references were quite good. This is our forth major home renovation project and by far the best experience. Joe's partner, Dan Marfino was our project manager and did an awesome job of "herding the cats" (subs). They have a very tight budget and project management system that provided twice monthly progress reports and cost / budget reconciliation. As with all major renovations there were "surprises" and on-the-fly changes in direction as the project unfolded. All of our "redirects" were taken in stride by B&M. We had several structural "challenges" to deal with that called for some creative problem solving on their part to over come without blowing the budget. Considering the fact that we more than doubled the size of the original renovation plan B&M did an amazing job of keeping the work schedule reasonably on track which, for Florida, we understand is a miracle! Considering how much work we did I don't expect to need them anytime soon, but when I do I wouldn't dream of working with anyone else. A: Hi Jennifer, it's been quite a few years since this project. I've looked but cannot come up with the name of this particular granite. I do think it would work nice with white cabinets though. I would bet that you could show this pic to your local supplier and they could name it right away or find something similar. This was mid grade granite, probably around $28/sqft. plus fabrication.
