It is a custom bench by Architectural Designs. They are a custom shop in Bellingham. WA **Q: What is the ground covered in?** *(in Photo Questions)* By the way, I love your work. You have created very natural looking spaces. A: This ground cover is commonly called Blue Star Creeper. We use it a lot in Washington. Plant fairly tightly to reduce weeds early on. Thanks for asking, M **Q: Stone wall?** *(in Photo Questions)* Did you do the stone wall? If so, does it have reinforcement on the inside? (i.e. cement block) A: This is a drylaid rock wall. It is a gravity wall. You can notice the biggest stones in the lower or bottom courses. There is drainage behind it. The rock used is an indigenous sand stone found commonly in Bellingham WA. I do bot recommend this found stone as it does decompose. On this particular project we discussed the pros and cons of this stone. The Owners made the final decision on the type of stone used.
