### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Velázquez Family closet and entertainment center, March 2021**

> Ronna is the best. She took the time to listen to us, review our ideas, follow up with us and even make it all happen within our budget. I was so hesitant to get a professional company because I was under the impression that custom things cost a fortune and there was no way I can get what I was looking for with my budget. I decided to give it a try and Ronna appear into our life and we couldn’t have a better designer. I consider other designers but let me tell you, they were not even close to Ronna’s dedication. Thank you for making our home a more beautiful place. Let see what will be our next project. She definitely will be my \#1 go to.

**Comment from Ronna Bogart Rosenberg:**

> Thank you so very much for this kind review. I loved working on your project!

**★★★★★ — Weiss, March 2021**

> Ronna helped us design 3 closets and a pantry. She worked with us every step of the way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and that the space was actually functional for our needs. She made what could have been an overwhelming process enjoyable and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

**Comment from Ronna Bogart Rosenberg:**

> Thank you so much. You were a very fun client to work with and I got puppy kisses!

**★★★★★ — Yumi Araki, March 2021**

> Ronna was amazing to work with and was so nimble with our design options. We originally asked her just to design our walk-in pantry, but we then asked her to redesign our walk-in closet as well. She was very responsive and offered great advice on how we could cut down costs while maintaining the integrity of our design visions. She also provided lighting recommendations, which was a gesture that went above and beyond. I would highly recommend working with Ronna.

**Comment from Ronna Bogart Rosenberg:**

> Thank Yumi. I loved working on your project and you made it easy with your vision.

**★★★★★ — Jessie, March 2021**

> Working with Ronna on my new closet was a wonderful experience. She really listened to what I was looking for and offered design ideas that were perfect for me. Ronna explained the process clearly every step of the way and respected the budget we discussed at the beginning. We were even able to include some fun upgrades. Overall, I would recommend working with Ronna for your design needs!

**★★★★★ — HU-376678610, Dec. 2020**

> Ronna did a great job with our closet design. She also helped us design a build out for dead space in our bedroom. The nursery closet came out amazing - perfect for our little one!

**Comment from Ronna Bogart Rosenberg:**

> Thank you so much for the kind review. I enjoyed working with your family.

**★★★★★ — Chris Simone, Nov. 2020**

> Designed a perfect cabinet hutch for my living room. Super friendly and nice. Very helpful in the design process and kept me up to date with all of the timeline changes.

**★★★★★ — Donna Mason, Oct. 2020**

> I highly recommend working with Ronna and this is why. First of all, not only did Ronna design the best use of space for my laundry room, she helped me make choices to bring the cost of the project down. I'm a person that just wants to get things wrapped up a little bit too quickly for my own good but she always made sure that I knew all my choices and boy did it show when the project was finished. I'm a left brain lawyer by trade so having Ronna not only work with me on cabinet selections and design but her also providing interior decorating tips was an unbelievable perk. She has a natural talent and trained background with the right paint colors, lighting for a room, flooring etc. etc. Had she not helped me with the paint selection and lighting, for example, I would have created a space that would have been too dark. As they say, a picture paints a thousand words so check out the pics of my laundry room below. I know -- pretty awesome!

**★★★★★ — Brass Bones Design, April 2020**

> Ronna was a pleasure to work with. She definitely knows her field and made sure to cover all details that I would not have known to address. She's a great communicator and kept us updated on lead times and scheduling, especially as we were preparing to enter a project in the middle of the holiday season. As a designer, I felt comfortable with Ronna communicating with my clients directly in was that was both professional and respectful. The installations were quick and a pleasant experience and I will definitely come to Ronna again on my next closet project.

**Comment from Ronna Bogart Rosenberg:**

> Thank you so much. Loved how the closet turned out. The had selected to use handle hardware to match other projects in their home. It looks wonderful!

**★★★★★ — Che Bradley, Nov. 2019**

> Ronna is simply fantastic! We were desperate to upgrade in our master bedroom closet and Ronna helped us design exactly what we needed. We now have a beautiful walk-in bedroom closet with efficient storage for all of our clothes, shoes and accessories. She was also vigilant in following up when we asked for additional shelves. Bottom line, she was committed to ensuring we were 100% satisfied, and that's why we are coming back to her to do the closets in the other bedrooms!

**★★★★★ — Patricia Smoak, Nov. 2019**

> I give Ms Ronna Rosenberg a 5-Star endorsement. I initially met Ms Rosenberg at the Closet Factory showroom in Tysons Corner where she pleasantly (1) explained the differences between the various product selections, (2) explained the process for customizing a closet, and (3) provided me with information that would help me locate unique handles for my project.
>
> While designing my closet, Ms Rosenberg took into consideration my vision, what I liked and disliked, clarified what would or would not work, and addressed the code issue concerning the fire sprinkler in the closet. I now have my dream closet due to Ms Rosenberg’s exceptional expertise. Thank you Ronna.

**★★★★★ — Suzanne Bu, Nov. 2019**

> My husband and I needed two custom-built closets for our master and guest bedrooms. Ronna was of great help and gave us very useful tips about how to maximize our storage options. She was attentive and detailed-oriented throughout the whole process, from our first meeting to after the installation. The service was fast and smooth, and the quality of the closets top-notch!

**★★★★★ — Eric Masiello, Nov. 2019**

> Ronna was great! My wife and I interviewed several custom closet installation companies. Ronna was personable, professional, and created a closet design that we still rave about to this day. We even hired her a second time to redo our nursery.

**Comment from Ronna Bogart Rosenberg:**

> Thank you so much for the kind review. I really enjoyed working with you.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What is the size of closet** *(in Photo Questions)*

I couldn't find any details about dimensions

A: Hi, that closet was from 2018-- I don't have the dimensions on my current computer. Roughly, It was a long narrow closet. The original closet I took out had the drawers along the right wall --which was not ergonomically friendly because if you opened the drawers there was no room to stand.

Looking at the photo, and based on the section sizing the approximate size of the closet 9-10 feet long, the back wall 6.5 - 7 feet.

My process for designing for a client
1\) Take measurements of their existing inventory
2\) Look at the space to make it more functional
3\) Find out if the client has additional storage needs for the closet.

80% of the time the closet space is the closet space and you must work within the those confines. Functional design always comes first.

It's easy to make a closet aesthetically pleasing. It takes more thinking hours to make it functional in "challenging spaces".

The master bedroom was huge, with empty space, I don't know why the builder didn't make a bigger closet. That is a common problem I see amongst many of my clients. However, from my training and years of experience I can solve the space problem.
I hope I answered your question.

**Q: Brainstorming master "suite" layout** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello, For the past 5 years I've been a reader/lurker and I've learned so much. You've helped me complete a bathroom layout redo/remodel as well as a kitchen complete with knocking down some walls. I am beginning to brainstorm how to layout the master "suite" and I welcome your thoughts.
The house is a colonial built in the early 60s. We anticipate staying for awhile (15-20 years). It's me and my husband, two kids age 5 & 3, and a dog. The picture you see is the original architect's floorplan for the second floor. I don't think the measurements are precise, but the other photo shows the precise measurements that I took.
My overarching goal is to make the three rooms you see a master "suite" by closing off the bathroom door that is just to the left as you come up the stairs add a door basically right as you come up the stairs to the right.
Right now the bathroom is gutted. The small room is currently used as an exercise room, and my husband uses the closet in that room for his clothes, along with a chest of drawers. I use the closet in the big bedroom, along with a chest of drawers. This is almost but not quite enough space for our clothes. We have a king bed, nightstands, and a dog bed in our bedroom but nothing else and the size is fine for us.

What do you think of the layout that I propose? It is the path of least resistance in terms of moving the plumbing and keeping the window on the far right wall. (That exterior wall faces the street, so I'd like to maintain the existing window symmetry. The wall to the top in the photo faces the back woods, so no issues with changing windows.)

Edited to add more detail.

A: You are not alone. I am a closet designer and 40% of my clients convert spare bedrooms and sitting rooms to a walk-in closet. If you have any questions please send me a message. Happy to walk you through it.

**Q: Any thoughts on this floor plan?** *(in Building a Home)*

This is a two floor new construction house, 3400 square feet.
I have attached the first and second floor plan images below.
Please share your thoughts/critiques and thank you in advance for your time & input ....

A: Closet Designer chiming in. The closet space looks good. These are the questions I would ask the builder:
1\) Can you do a pocket door? If not have it swing to the right.
2\) Find out if there are spinkler heads--if so have them move it to the middle. That way if you build a closet it will be in code. Feel free to contact me with questions.

**Q: 6x8 Master Closet Advice** *(in Organizing the Home)*

Does anyone have any advice for our 6x8 master closet? We're remodeling our new home right now, and theres no way to make it any bigger. Would love any tips on how to best maximize the space. I'm worried about standing space, and of course fitting our stuff. if anyone has any photos they could share if their closet is a similar size would be SO helpful. I'm a super visual person and am having a hard time finding anything comparable in size online.

A: 6 ft is not wide enough. If you want to message me I can put a plan on the CAD for youl

**Q: I have a 19x10 open space for a master bath and closet. help!.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

The short wall will have a window that we will place. What is the best arrangement to maximize closet for two, include a freestanding tub, showed and enclosed toilet. And I need a seated makeup area with storage. Is it possible? If so, how to arrange? Entrance is on the long wall. Thanks!!!

A: Just look at your plans. The position of the door is wasting space in your closet. If you want to message me I can put a spec idea on the CAD.

**Q: Foyer Coat Closets ya or nay?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Have a 1979 rancher with the traditional coat closet just inside the front door. The closet actually takes up foyer floor space and with the front door open the closet door is behind the front door.
The ceiling light is centered but any furniture in the foyer is off center because of the closet.
Seriously considering removing the closet so everything could be centered. Front door is only used by solicitors and Fed Ex/UPS if the garage isn’t open. Friends and family enter through the garage into the house.
Keep the closet or take it out?

A: As a Closet designer --and a home owner of a 1972 house that had a major front door reno I feel your pain ;) IMO I would remove the closet to get the door the way you want it. I wolud not do those "unrealistically pretty wall hook images" because no one lives that way. To address the front hall closet replacement the following questions need to be addressed: kids or no kids in the family, what is climate you live in (snow boots/heavy coats). You can find another way for storage with a built in or a garage unit. Feel free to message me with info and I can put something on the cad for you.
