A previous owner remodeled the kitchen/breakfast area a number of years before we purchased the house. The kitchen/breakfast area was functional but not very efficient and certainly not very attractive. Our dream was a complete makeover and it was for that makeover that we approached Daryl Ann at KCK&B. She was recommended to us by a trusted friend. Now, some months later, the makeover is done and we are ecstatic. We could not be more pleased. From the very start, the process was smooth and pleasant. Daryl Ann is not just an accomplished professional but a professional with excellent communication skills. She shared samples with us for countertops and the like that we took home to think about and to consider. When she visited at our home she was comfortable to be with and she had good ideas. She was a good listener and took into account our ideas. She showed us where things could be better than we thought they could be but she also incorporated some of our ideas. She works with a contractor, Bob Crandall, who we found immediately likable. We decided to stay with the combination of Daryl Ann planning and Bob installing. It was a great decision. Bob is an excellent problem solver and now that the job is over even small workarounds that our peculiar kitchen required came out looking perfect. Daryl Ann worked with us to negotiate an acceptable cost. She showed us options for things like cabinet doors and range hoods. We were able make choices that pleased us and that kept us on budget. The result is that we have a makeover that we can't imagine being any better. The dismantling, removal, and installation work was seamless. Bob does excellent work and considerate while he does his work. He is efficient and even did a few little extra things for us on the way. And then we thinking this experience could hardly be better, the final price tag came in under estimate. There is absolutely no question that when we start thinking about remodeling our bathrooms, we will be headed to Kalamazoo Custom Kitchen & Bath.
