> I strongly caution when considering this builder. After a year under contract, we discovered they had failed to obtain the necessary permits – and lied to us along the entire way – telling us permits were all in motion. Mind you, this is only one of the issues that transpired. Unfortunately, their business practices and trustworthiness have been deeply disappointing. Despite breaching the contract, they have refused to return my deposit of $7500. Which I was told was used for permitting, but only $233 was spent on the permits.  I would recommend against engaging with them, particularly if you are dealing from out-of-state. While I consider myself a patient and composed individual, my experience with Beattie's business operations has been less than satisfactory. Their approach not only raises questions but also gives an impression of deception.

A company's reputation should be built on the consistent satisfaction of all its clients, not just a select majority. My situation is a testament that there are instances where Beattie Development has fallen short of their high standards.

> The first project Paul Beatie did for me was in 2011-12.  It was a kitchen remodel.  I have hired him for different project since then. The last project was in 2016.  This included new interior doors, new tile floor, new closet shelving and interior painting.  And, when the work is completed a professional cleaning crew comes in to clean the house.  Paul and his staff are professional, honest, trustworthy, and Paul stands by his work.

I believe that the best you can say about a finished project is that there were no surprises or hidden costs.  The first time we met with Paul Beattie, he told us that he believed that he would not be the cheapest but he would be the best.  We have no reason to dispute that claim.  His team of craftsmen did an excellent job.  We are very pleased with the workmanship and definitely recommend his company to anyone looking for high quality remodeling.
