> Very sloppy work. Things are not straight, it's hard to get the company to fix their mistakes. Since hiriing Republic West, I've hired other contractors who did very good work. So there are companies out there that do much better- do yourself a favor and find a good contractor.

> Two yrs ago, RW did my master bath renovation. Though there were delays, increased costs, many issues, finally 2 months later I had a nice new bath. Approx 2 months ago, I noticed the wood cabinets beginning to degrade. There is a sml area on cab door with the face actually peeling off and on several drawers, cab doors there are black lines/discoloration areas where on some can feel separation of the wood. After 4 wks of repeatedly sending pics and RW trying to determine warranty, the cabinet rep (Masterbrand) came to see them. RW recommended this cabinet vendor (Masterbrand)...they actually display them in their ofc. Bottom line, rep said this will happen to wood??? NOT as exampled by the beautiful wood kitchen cabinetry I have 3 times as old. The good news, rep said under warranty for as long as I live in house! We agreed to replace the most damaged cabinet door and 'watch' the other areas of concern. I certainly wanted to see if replacement matched and its quality before replacing rest. Skeptical of his explanation, had 3 cab refinishers in to get their opinion....all agreed it was a manufacture defect and new cabinets should never do this. It is now 4 wks since replacement cab ordered and NO WORD from RW unless I initiate...told 'its on order'. So I sit here and wait. Think about this as to the guarantee and customer service RW will deliver after the fact!

> When Republic West remodeled my master bathroom, I was spoiled but did not fully appreciate it until I employed a landscape contractor to remodel my outside patios. The latter never gave a specific schedule or followed the original timeline, dragging a two-week job into five weeks. So, when I decided to remodel my kitchen, laundry and second bathroom all at once, I was eager to select Republic West again. I even requested the same team of designers, project manager and sub-contractors. Further, I trusted them so much that I was deliberately out of town for the first two weeks to avoid the demo process.
>
> Steve’s attention to detail in project design meant that as the cabinets were put in place, they not only fit the space but my expectations and needs. One of the joys of renovation is including new, practical kitchen innovations. His recommendations are the highlights of my new workspace. Designer Kathy understood my overall goals and décor style, guiding my choices toward the desired aesthetic. Republic West gives full disclosure of job details and responsibilities so that clients understand the financial realities as well as the detailed specs. Those are onsite throughout the process, facilitating transparency throughout this dynamic process. Watching the project develop from concept on paper to reality was an instructive process.
>
> Knowing that this project would disrupt my life more than a single bathroom, it was important to me to have assurance that the process would be as interactive as possible. RW gave that to me in spades. Remodeling the most essential hub of a home tests one’s ability to anticipate and problem-solve through the short term displacement of food preparation space and laundry. Before the project began, RW worked with me to set up an alternate food station to ease that challenge. They also reconnected the washer/dryer between the demo and laying of the tile. From design to the final walkthrough, Garth, the project manager, kept me informed, allowing me to anticipate decision points, and was proactive throughout the process.
>
> All of the subcontractors were courteous and respectful of my privacy and property. Those who work for Republic West are efficient experts who are also artists. Slobo and his team laid the tile so I always had a path for entry to the house and rooms. Further, he was especially creative with the transition between the tile and wood floor, giving me the smooth, contemporary look that I wanted. When one cabinet did not meet my criteria, Steve adapted it until I got all the space and access I needed.
>
> With any project, there are a few glitches, unforeseen delays and potential cost overruns. You have to go into renovation with specific goals in mind, and, more importantly, patience, flexibility and a generous spirit. Most of that is to help you understand the true complexity of this kind of work and to teach you to cope with your tolerance for dust, disruption of your space, and impatience to cross the finish line. Take pictures every week so you can evaluate just how much progress has been made. Enjoy the process. When you are done, have a big party to show off your new home that reflects your personality.

**Comment from Republic West Remodeling:**

> Thank you very much for your review June! We loved working with you and helping to make your dream home a reality. We are overjoyed to hear how much you love the space and look forward to hopefully working with you again in the near future.

> From the initial meeting with Jackie, she was very attentive and caring. Jackie was professional, helpful and thorough with her ideas. She created our design and it turned out beautiful and it was just what we wanted. She has an eye for design and it clearly shows through her work.
>
> After the initial meeting and contract details were complete, from the beginning of work on site to the end, we were completely satisfied with how the work team operated. Garth was our work site manager and ran the schedules for everything. He did such a fantastic job of communicating with us for everything and maintained complete professionalism. He always informed us with updates and is very organized. The workers were also all professional and very efficient.
>
> RWR stuck to their schedule and never fell off the timeline. We were so impressed with how quickly and effectively they worked.
>
> The final product looks so incredible and compared to what we had in our kitchen before it looks like a different house. We are completely satisfied with RWR and would highly recommend them for any remodeling service. We would and likely will use them again!
>
> Thank you Brandon and Rebecca

**Comment from Republic West Remodeling:**

> Thank you Brandon and Rebecca for the kind words. Our passion and goal is to help you create your dream home and we are so happy that you're in love with the project. We loved working with you both and look forward to hopefully working with you again in the future!

> My mother first met with Republic West Remodeling a few years ago when she was meeting with several remodeling companies to get an estimate for her home’s bathroom remodel. She did eventually decide to go in another direction with a different company to perform the work, but she really enjoyed meeting with RWR’s designer, Arthur Gambino. He was very personable and he even had the foresight to caution my mother on some spatial issues, that sure enough, came to pass following the project completion, by said company.
>
> A few years later, we experienced a leak in our home, resulting from a faulty shower pan that had failed, years before its life expectancy was met. We had a decision to make – to either make a costly repair, or to make the repair, along with a much-needed remodel of the master bathroom. After researching our options online, reading past client testimonials, and remember my mother’s initial positive experience with RWR, we decided to give them a call. We learned about the guarantee RWR offers on their products and finishings and definitely valued that, as it offered us peace of mind that they were only a phone call away, should we have any issues following the project completion. We have a great deal of comfort knowing we will be taken care of, especially after unforeseen issues like our shower pan.
>
> We did not meet with Arthur, but we did meet with our designer, Jackie, who was fantastic. We had a great experience with just about all of the RWR team members. However, we originally did have a problem with our project manager who was not as attentive as expected unreliable and generally very flaky, but it turns out that he ended up leaving the company due to unexpected health issues. That said, the owner of the company, Jim Weisman, personally took the project over and made sure every single detail was taken care of properly. Whenever an issue came up, Jim was there to make sure it was addressed. He was a great listener and made sure our needs were met from beginning to end. He even shouldered the cost to remedy an issue we had with our sliding shower door. Despite the hiccups with our project manager, they were actually able to stick to the original timeline, which was phenomenal! This was important to us because it was finished just in time for our kids to come home from college.
>
> The rest of the team was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We worked with our interior designer, Kathy, for hours. She provided us with a lot of insight and we felt like we got a lot of value from working with her. The in-house contractors were AWESOME – the carpenter, the drywaller, and tiler, were all instrumental for the entire job. The team also took great care in ensuring all of our needs were met, regarding the cleanliness of our project. We suffer from asthma and allergies so this was important to us. Our home owner’s association has rules about debris so the RWR team hauled the trash away EVERY DAY instead of putting a dumpster in front of our house. There was one carpenter in particular who took it upon himself to make sure everything was prepared properly and covered up every morning, and completely cleaned every evening. They were so considerate of us and even asked if they should bring a porta-potty while they were doing construction. They took excellent care of us and we would give them more than 5 stars for that if we could.
>
> In the end, we’re super happy with our new bathroom and the Republic West Remodeling team. Thank you RWR!

> After interviewing several companies for two bathroom remodels, we chose to hire Republic West. We were impressed with the professionalism and prompt response from the sales representative. We appreciated the detailed budget and schedule with which we were presented. Once the project began we were updated by daily e-mails and frequent visits by the project manager. The craftsmen who worked on our project were respectful of our home, and they always cleaned up at the end of the day. The interior designer assisted in the tasteful selection of fixtures, tile, and paint choices. At the end of the project any detail that needed extra attention was addressed. Having previously used Republic West for window replacement, they have demonstrated an ongoing high standard for quality work and customer satisfaction.

> Republic West was recommended by a friend who had hired them not once but twice, a fine testimony. My own experience remodeling my master bathroom did not disappoint.
>
> First, Steve, my salesman, helped me design the room to turn an architectural nightmare into my dream bathroom. He listened to my needs and concerns and presented me with a viable plan that solved the many problems. The bid was honest and delineated all aspects of the project, financial and practical, so that there would be no surprises. Kathy, the designer, has a great eye for color and extensive knowledge of the vendors. Her advice brought color and style to the project. Garth, my project manager, was available and attentive throughout the project. He and Christine created a schedule that really worked. Every part of the project was on time, a rarity in this industry. I received daily summaries whether Garth and I had talked directly throughout the day or not. Having things in writing made the project transparent, which was reassuring during such an endeavor. The subcontractors were terrific craftsmen, real artists and perfectionists. Further, they were always polite and professional. Their attention to detail is exceptional. Republic West also backs up their work. My HOA made some additional demands and Republic West responded quickly to resolve the complaint. This was my first experience with a general contractor and it set a high standard.
>
> All of this sounds like a commercial created by a paid ad agency. However, I assure you that it is not. I recommend Republic West to anyone considering a remodel. You get what you pay for and this company is top notch.

**★★★★★ — Shelagh Colledge, Feb. 2017**

> I was first introduced to the sales agent who took copius notes and measurments. A few days later I met my project manage r who also worked through the notes and measured. As we went through house I was able to make changes to items to be done. At then end of the walkthrough I was provided with a timeline of work to be completed.
>
> Every evening, my project manager would send me a daily update and then he would give me the names and companies who would be doing work on the site the next day.
>
> The project timeline was followed to a tee and my home was completed in the promised 7 week timeline. The project manager checked in every couple of days and if I brought up a change to work, my project manner would write it up and send me a change order with necessary spending.
>
> One thing they caught was a bad leak behind my shower wall which had molded all the insulation. Republic West Remodelling was able to get their plumbing contractor immediately to fix the issue. I hate to think how much more damaged could have been done if never found.
>
> All the subcontractors were courteous and conscientious, and always professional. Special thanks to the painters, the tile guys, the plumber, the carpet installers, hardwood installer, Appliance guys, and the electrician who worked on my home.
>
> I don't see having anymore work my current house, but I will call RWR to do a makeover in my rental property. If you need work done, I highly recommend Republic West Remodelling for your work.

**★★★★★ — Susie Redinger, Jan. 2017**

> I signed a Sales Contract to purchase my home in Chandler, AZ in April, 2016. I had a limited amount of time prior to my closing date to figure out a number of things like.... "what in the heck did I just do?" to "who am I going to get to remodel this house?" to "how much is this going to cost?"
>
> I knew no one as I was new to AZ, but I knew construction and I knew home financing. Fortunately, I ran across a woman who lived in my subdivision who knew Republic West Remodeling and highly recommended them. I didn't know the woman, didn't know Republic West Remodeling, but they had a terrific website that advertised everything that I needed. From the moment I met with the Project Manager, Jacquie Richardson, to meeting with the Site Manager, Bill, to eventually talking, emailing, texting with Jim, the President of Republic West Remodeling, the project went off without a hitch. The people within Republic were spectacular, and the subs that Republic used were all great. All of them were very professional, friendly, helpful, timely, and the quality of their work was stellar. I have had so many compliments from people that saw the "before" pictures of my home to the way it is now, no one even recognizes it. Everyone at Republic moved mountains to help me get into my house on time as I had to get out of my apartment that I had rented. It was an absolute pleasure working with Jim and his business colleagues. I would highly recommend them to friends, family and other business associates without reservation.

> The only started they get is for the quality of the design. They are terribly over priced. What was supposed to take a few weeks took months. I give them no stars for ethics or integrity. It was an expensive nightmare. Great presentation horrible service. They remodeled the kitchen, laundry room, hallway cabinets, counters, flooring and some lighting. I would never recommend them for anything.

**★★★★★ — harry dunham, Oct. 2016**

> We bought a house for the property and planned to do a major whole house remodel. We used RWR at our last house to remodel our kitchen and add another bath in 2007. We quoted others as we did on the first job knowing that RWR would not be the least expensive. They weren’t but they were the most detailed.
>
> The biggest difference in the company from 10 years ago was that they now offered even more support to this very stressful process. Arthur and the design team were and still are amazing providing computer renderings of the remodel before anyone lifts a hammer. Those renderings turned out to be almost exactly what the rooms now look like. They also added a critical support function that was not there in 2007 which is Kathy, a representative that works with you on the interior design aspects of the project. She coordinates and is present for all decisions on appliances, flooring, tile, lighting, etc. She took the time to understand our taste and help make our choices accordingly. Our on site supervisor Henry was not only very experienced but clearly had our best interests in mind throughout the entire project.
>
> We’ve all heard the horror stories of contractors taking twice or 3 times the amount of estimated time for completion, well this is not RWR. They quoted 4 months and it was done in 17 weeks. They seemed to be helping us along for decisions so that they could move on to the next stage. The RWR employees were great and the subs were excellent as well. As you can imagine there were lots of surprises during the project but they were dealt with swiftly and professionally.
>
> Republic West is not the cheapest contractor in the Valley but they are responsible, attentive, accountable and very good at what they do. We are thrilled with the home that they helped us create!
