> We had the pleasure of working with the GCDD Group late fall this year and it was an amazing experience. They are very knowable and passionate about every detail in their designs which made an enjoyable project to see come to life. I would definitely recommend them and wish I could rate more than 5 stars!

> We had been looking for a house for several months when we went to an open house for this property located in East Austin. We were completely blown away as soon as we walked through the front door. Every other property that we had previously considered paled in comparison. We knew immediately that we wanted this to be our home.
>
> What struck us first was the attention to detail: the picture window framing the backyard, the bits of glass between the rafters to let more light in, the kaleidoscopic backsplash, the reclaimed wood bar, the gleaming white countertops, it was our dream kitchen/living room/dining room come true. We also loved how there was a T.V. room set off from the main living room, providing a little movie-viewing area. The architect, Andres, showed us a door salvaged from the original house, which now hung on rails in the hallway, hiding the washer and dryer room. The bedrooms have soaring, gabled ceilings, making the rooms seem airy yet cozy. In the master bedroom, the walk-in closet is more of a walk-through closet, integrating that area with the master bathroom, featuring a double-headed shower. One of our favorite features is the porch that sits facing the street, right off of the master bedroom.

> We've been here for a month now and we couldn't be happier. GCDD Group, the firm that designed this house, clearly put a lot of thought into every detail of this house, and we feel incredibly lucky to be able to call this house our home. It's perfect.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Flooring** *(in Photo Questions)*

What's the wood flooring material (species)?

A: Actually, when the original floor was installed in 1947 the builders used red oak. However, the characteristic pinkish color of the red oak wood has faded off to the point that the color you see now is similar to white oak. When we remodeled this house last year the repairs were done using white oak number 1. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help you.

**Q: Off the Wall** *(in Photo Questions)*

I adore this paper. Any chance you would share details on where to buy it?

A: Thanks! We are glad you liked it. We got it from www.spoonflower.com. Have a great day!

**Q: Is this wallpaper or tile. I love it! Color combination is great!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It's actually a wall paper! Glad you like it! It
