> We had a great experience using Ben Decker Quality Construction. Ben was always very responsive to our questions and/or concerns. He always took the time to meet with us at the house during the various construction stages to review any questions or concerns we may have had. All the subs that we interacted with were friendly and helpful.  The project took roughly 6 months to complete, but the end result was well worth the wait. Our home is beautiful and we are very happy with the quality of work that was done.  One of the most beneficial aspects that I greatly appreciated was leaning heavily on Ben to make decisions regarding color scheme and other minor details that I felt he would have a better "vision" for.  His decisions not only added true character to the house, but it took a lot of stress from us (home owners).  There was little to no trash throughout the duration of the project and we had no issues with the subs disrespecting our property (that we are aware of). Although we have only been in the home for around 2 months, we have been pleased to have no issues so far. The only bad experience we had throughout the building process was with our Mortgage Lender which we would absolutely not recommend. Other than a few discrepancies with additional costs, we could not be happier with choosing Ben to build our home.

> We hired this contractor to build a custom home,  the first few months went well but after that his subs became sloppy leaving my property trash (which I'm still finding things a year and a half later that didn't make it to the giant dumpster we paid for). We were also informed of a $9000.00 mistake that The contractor made in the framing of the house, the subs had no respect for property standing on counter, tops not using drop cloths, leaving stains on the cabinets and in the stained concrete floors. It took them almost a year to even get close to finishing the house. When confronted about time it was a standard answer of 2 more weeks. We finaly gave up waiting on the contractor to wrap up loose ends like final cleaning of the house and small things that we finished on our own. Then came the one year warranty, at first things seemed ok but after the first few call backs for cracking drywall, leaking plumbing, frozen water lines, improperly wired appliances. all within the first 6 months of living in the house we became " to picky" wither the contractor actually stating in an email that "we were to picky and no one would ever make us happy". I am now stuck with a house that has cracking drywall, nails popping out in every room, and water damage in my spare bathroom.
