We found one under construction by Dilsad and Umut, We loved the floor plan but when we looked at the house it was a slab and a few 2 x 4's. After countless hours sitting with Dilsad and Umut and reviewing every detail on how the house would be built and finished we put in an offer, We love the finished product. All of the counter tops are granite, and installed perfectly. The kitchen back splash is travertine and I am amazed at the quality, every tile is perfectly level and flush. The kitchen, a > ll bathrooms front porch, and outdoor kitchen have stone floors (polished travertine and polished marble, outside in travertine) and are perfectly level and flush as well. I have never seen such craftsmanship in other houses that I look at. The master bath shower and tub are also finished in polished marble (my wife loves the big ledge on the sides of the tube, perfect for placing a glass of wine while soaking in the garden tub). The living room has a fire place that is open on three sides it is finished in polished travertine and tumbled travertine, it is just gorgeous. If you are in the market for a remodel or new house you should definitely consider UDS for the job, beside the excellent craftsmanship they also understand customer service, they aren't like a lot of contractors who will tell you they are going to show up tomorrow and then two weeks later you finally hear from them. If UDS tells you they are coming tomorrow they will be there, Dilsad and Umut are friendly, hardworking and very honest. The counter is staining!!!!** *(in Design Dilemma)* To anyone who has quartzite or know about it We had Tahiti quartzite installed in our kitchen. We have been in our house for about seven months. The countertop started to cloud around the sink and edges. Our fabricator came and said it was water and it would disappear. The problem is it is getting worse. Has any one had a similar problem? How did you deal with it?is there a special sealer we can request be applied. I hope there is a solution as this looks awful. Help! A: We have been living the same problem as stone fabricator with especially Tahiti and Mont Blanc quartzite. All fabricators are living same problem. As we use water to cut the slabs these stones sucking the water from edges and with wet polish it gets worse. We are waiting for literally months for it to get dried out and after that we use bulletproof sealer. One of our clients with Tahiti quartzite have the same problem all around the island and stove after almost a year of installation. We went there and applied oil stain remover which is amazing on oil stains. But in their case it just helped a little but darker areas are still visible. We couldn’t find any explanation on anywhere. These stones are giving us a huge headache **Q: Prestige Stone Quartz?** *(in Design Dilemma)* Has anyone had any experience with Prestige Stone Quartz? I'm looking at the Carrera lookalike, "Ancient Rome." Just wondering why it's half the price of Cambria.... A: We are fabricators too but we are having some problems with BPI Mirage that we do not live with Cambria or Vico Stone. We realized that the marks of pencil or small plastic marks is much harder to remove, also suctioncups leave mark on them. Now we use sealer to protect the surface but we never had to do this with cambria or vico stone. I will search more about the quartz ration in BPI --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
