They provided a great price, a dedicated timeline and are one of the only builders I've ever seen really stick to it. We've had some bumps along the way, but both Brian and Joel are calm, professional and dedicated to problem solving. They've provided personal credits where sub-contractors wouldn't provide them, they let me pick out my personal preferences and even buy things directly to reduce costs. > > With builds, there are always challenges and additional costs, but they have made many efforts to reduce the stress level on this. My home will be finished in 5-6 weeks and I cannot wait to send pictures! **★ — HU-753906437, April 2021** > On 9 Feb 2021, we met with the company President, Brian Sefcik, to make slight modifications to a custom home design he already had. We agreed to a land purchase of $115,000 and a home build of $525,000, a total of $640,000. At that time we gave him $5000 deposit each for the land and also for the construction, total of $10,000. On 10 March 2021, we received an email that construction cost now would be $585,000, for a new total of $700,000 (with him telling us he gets 15%). Dissatisfied with the relatively sudden and dramatic price increase, we canceled the arrangement. We received our $5000 deposit for the land but nothing for the construction. We were told all costs were consumed by plan draft costs and permitting ($5200 for plans \[Brad Design\] and $450 for septic permit), though we had no final price/contract. He actually demanded that we owe him $200. These are all facts supported by email correspondence. Make up your own mind if this is how you would like to do business.
