> I had the original 15+ year old light colored oak hardwood floors and carpet in the main living space. I wanted a more seamless, updated look so I had them tear out the carpet and lace in new wood with the old. I was skeptical that there would be a difference between the old and new. The end result was astonishing! After at least 3 rounds of sanding and 3 rounds of coating, the floors look brand new! I picked Jacobean with just a hint of sheen. What really impressed me was the level of detail in prep and finish work. No stain on the walls. Hand sanding each step. And what really blew me away was how they carved around our stone fireplace and just used a touch of sealant. I'm sure other places would have used a straight edge of wood and just fill it in with wood filler. Sure, you could spend a little less money and time if quality is not your priority. But having these two brothers do all the work themselves, while it takes time, ensures that quality and craftsmanship is not compromised. I would recommend to anyone looking for high quality work.

> Evolution Hardwoods recently completely redid hardwood floors in our living room and dining room. They were professional, on time, and communicated with us every step of the process. They worked with our schedule, were knowledgeable with helpful suggestions, and it really was a pleasant experience. They provided easy guidelines for after care of our floor and maintenance. And our 30 year old floors look brand new! I would definitely use them again and recommend their company highly.

> After removing old sub-floor Evolution installed, sanded and finished 1200 sq. ft. of red oak flooring and refinished 400 sq. ft. of existing red oak flooring to match new install. New quarter-round and some new baseboard was installed. Work was done on time and budget. A natural, matte finished was used which included three coats of finish.
>
> The floors look excellent having darkened to an attractive amber hue.
>
> The Evolution team was excellent to work with and accommodated all requests as the project proceeded.

  - Description: 7 1/2" Engineered White Oak was a great material for this project because the basement was concrete and below grade. The property also sits right on Lake Oswego. Moisture is always a concern given the location. We treated the concrete with a moisture/vapor barrier, then installed the flooring over the concrete using a specialized adhesive. The main level was typical nail down. Engineered flooring is more moisture stable than typical all wood flooring. Typically when moisture is a concern we reco…
