> We hired Tom Hasleton and Silverhawk Enterprises to do a simple garage addition. We gave him the plans he said it would be easy and would get it done quickly. Unfortunately, it didn’t end well. He failed to follow the plans we had given him and that were approved by us and submitted to the city. He ended up making changes to the plans in the framing process until we finally told him to stop and figure out how to make it look right. What he had done both looked bad and was not functional. We had the architect who originally created our plans come over and the first thing he said was why didn’t they just follow the plans. He then checked a few things to find that they were off from foundation on up. We asked the architect if it was possible to fix it and still make it work with the changes that were made. It was but it will end up costing us another $50k-$70k. We were willing to walk away and just let it be and not go after Silverhawk but unfortunately, Sivlerhawk decided to send us a final bill mostly for their time and his employees time in reviewing our new plans on how to fix what they had messed up. I thought it was a joke but he then liened our house. He did this over $7k and the majority of that bill was for his “time.” We were willing to walk away from the bad job they did and not pursue them for damages and have another builder fix what they had done.

> Silverhawk Enterprises built our dream home and we are very glad we used their services. Silverhawk's crew, management are seasoned professionals and their subcontractors deliver very high quality workmanship standards. Silverhawk is a trusted reference and we strongly recommend them.

> Tom was professional, courteous, and easy to work with. The scope of the job was explicitly explained and was done without any trouble. It is rare to work with a contractor who treats you so well and is appreciative of the work. I highly recommend Silverhawk enterprises.

> Bid was excellent and service prior to my down payment was excellent. However after that point we had some difficulties. Allowance amount for cabinets was much less than the actual cost for specified cabinet type. (Knotty Alder). The amount estimated for excavation was $30,000 less than the actual cost.
> Then it was difficult to schedule a move-in date because the target kept moving.
>
> At the end there were several items left unfinished. 1) Light fixture in bathroom did not have a cover so we had to replace the whole fixture since we didn't have the right shade. 2) Railings were partially powder coated-and partially unfinished. 3) Railings were not the right size and were pulling out from the wall. 4) Stucco was cracked and peeling. 5) Stair finish was wearing off. 6) concrete on curb was cracked and peeling, this was not cracked when construction started. 7) one section of the concrete was not colored, although the rest was. 8) Exterior railings were rusted.
>
> Subcontractors were polite and I would recommend many of them.
