The cost to build removable panels for HVAC screens generally runs $300-$400 per panel, but depends on a few factors: 1\. Number of panels 2\. Any clearing/demo work to prepare 3\. Design ... will there be a custom layout with extra rip-cutting or will it have standard 5 1/2" wide horizontal boards? 4\. Is the HVAC screen the only element in the project or are there other features to build as well? (The more elements/features we are there to build, the more the overhead cost gets diluted among them.) Here is another one we built recently. This one uses upgraded cedar lumber, cut into a custom pattern (4", 5", 3.25", 4", 4", 3.25", 5", and then 4" in this example). Where as this example just has six evenly-spaced full boards at 5 1/2" wide each. This arrangement saves time, cutting, and uses less lumber.
