Shortly after, we encountered a significant administrative error of $40,000 followed by additional errors and unexpected surprises. Despite our good faith efforts to move forward, we were unable to continue. Owner Jeremy Bates verbally agreed on a recorded call to refund our $5,000. He later reversed that commitment. We pursued the matter in small claims court and were awarded a full judgement in our favor on April 1, 2026. If you are considering using this company, we strongly urge you to proceed with extreme caution and get everything in writing. **★ — HU-512393673, Aug. 2025** > Built our house 2017...many discussions on punch list...finally came to agreement. This year had to replace part of the 8 year old roof. Exhaust vent hose was found laying in attic not attached. Sewer exhaust was incorrectly attached. $6000 roofers. Now need to redo ceilings in bathroom and hall...not sure what that will cost. We’re very excited as it is a beautiful home and just what we wanted! **★ — Rob Dippold, Feb. 2020** > We have been in our home for 15 months now and still do not have items completed that were on our punch list. Garage fire door needs to be replaced per factory and BMH has refused to do it. Estimate is $2000. Plumbing vent in attic for master bath was never tied into main vent stack, $500 quote to complete that. And these are items that we paid them to do. Multiple drywall cracks were never addressed, air leaking in basement between foundation and sill plate that was not installed correctly which I had to fix myself to stop the moisture and mold from coming in. We only had one BMH inspection in January 2019 where they said these issues would be addressed; they never did the 6 or 12 month inspections. They also, through their negligence, forced us to hire an engineer for a structural issue that they caused. BMH removed structural bracing that was installed from the factory and then did not want to repair the issue. After hiring an engineer to inspect it at our cost of $750 and getting his repair report they then after several months of delays finally sent in a contractor to repair the issue but never refunded our $750 like they said they would. I don’t think there is enough room for all of the complaints that my wife and I have after dealing with this company. There is no service after the sale at all. I don’t even think they have anyone working in their so called service dept.
