**Q: What type of light fixture would you do here?** *(in Lighting)*

Recently drenched my dining room with Tricorn Black.  We have a lot of wood/farmhouse elements even though this is now more of a modern look to what we used to have.  "Modern farmhouse" now I guess? Will a 14” pendant light be ok for over a 23”( wide)x 14”( deep) nightstand?

Wanting to replace dining room light with below picture. 

Advice for island (would need 3 pendants) lighting? Kitchen and dining are connected so needs cohesiveness. 

What then to put for entry (vaulted ceiling - 1.5 story home)? 

And to replace 'boob' lights for hallway lighting. . . throughout home. 

Again - looking for COHESIVENESS. I'm not trendy (read: can we just keep it for at least ten years?) - I like minimalistic - less to clean the better. Less bulbs to replace - the better. 

Appreciate rich-looking wood / glass / brass and / or flat black. 
Not into farmhouse or french anything.

My foyer is 10x12 with a ceiling height of 11ft. The dining room is adjacent and I had this giant light installed a year ago (I finally got used to it) but never updated the foyer lighting. **Q: Lighting for High Ceilings** *(in Lighting)*

Hi all, 
We have 25-30 foot high ceilings over a large room that encompasses the kitchen, breakfast nook, and family room.  However, the focus of the lighting is mainly on the kitchen as the nook has a chandelier and the family room has additional light fixtures.  These are old track lights (circa early 1990s) that are held up by long extension poles and we're looking at options for updating them.  
Rather than simply updating the track heads, we're wondering if you guys have any ideas as to what sort of lights would work here.  Links to options would be helpful.  It's far too high for recessed lighting to work so that's not something we want to consider but open to suggestions.
