Owner Brent Cotton began his career as a carpenter and leader in the field of construction 27 years ago has led highly complex multi-million dollar projects that require close attention to detail and careful workforce management.  

After spending years building large projects across Montana, Brent aspired to build a company that would allow himself and others to remain home with their families.  Our family-based company aims to remain a small business that Helena area residents recognize, know, and trust.

Our favorite local service is building custom homes.  Getting to know the wonderful families that have built with us, helping them realize their dreams, and building a long-term relationship is one of the most rewarding experiences of our careers.

> In today’s world life is stressful and a little crazy.  After hiring Cotton Construction for my commercial warehouse expansion things just got easier.  Communication with Brent and his crew was effortless.  I was informed on schedules and progress throughout the project.  Adding or deleting things from the scope was accommodated and well explained.  This eliminated any unwanted surprises.  Finish work was top notch and worth the expense.  Cotton Construction will be my first call on my next project and I would recommend them for yours.

> We couldn’t be more pleased with the home that Cotton Construction built for our family.  The entire build process requires many decisions and choices that Brent Cotton made very simple for us. He was very good at walking us through each phase of building the home and discussing our options. His construction expertise is showcased in the way our home looks and the craftsmanship is top notch.  I would also like to highlight the fact that Brent has a team of outstanding subcontractors; from Excavation, Concrete, HVAC, Plumbing, Tiling, Timber Frame Joinery, and Electrical to interior design and staging. The highest level of craftsmanship and design was given to our home and Brent either did the construction or oversaw the entire process. His passion for custom home building is what enabled us to compete in the Parade of Homes, sponsored by Helena Building Industry Association (HBIA) and win best kitchen for 2021.  I highly recommend Cotton Construction for building your custom home and reaching out to Brent and his team early on in the design process will be very advantageous.
