A true home builder that creates the features that you want and imagine for your own home. Over the past few decades there have been a few custom home builders whose names add value when selling your home. Today, that builder is Richard Harp. I have always wanted a Richard Harp Home, and when it was time for us to build our dream home, Richard Harp was our first call. Our dream was a very difficult build, and from conception to completion, Richard, JD and their team of craftsmen led the way each and every day. Richard's construction experience and knowledge are exceptional. Typically the new wears off of purchases, but we truly love our home more and more each day. We were initially impressed with their communication skills and advanced organization. We first created the floor plan, and Richard was incredibly instrumental in deciding the sizes of rooms, garages, patios, etc. Where Richard made suggestions to increase or decrease in size, we totally agree with now that the house is finished. His experience in creating a good floor plan cannot be overlooked. He then created a budget with 12 pages of line items. We had one typo in the budget and it drove him crazy- he is incredibly mindful of details! We had a strict budget, so Richard helped us to determine when and where to splurge. Not all things worked out exactly as we planned during the build process (for example, the price of lumber and concrete increased from the time we created a budget), but we were able to adjust and stay within budget. Richard and JD guided us through the process, making it more fun and easy than I ever expected.
