From the outset he was keen to hear about our likes and dislikes, and how we intended to use the space. As the design took shape, Jason took note of our thoughts and incorporated them into the plans – even adjusting cabinet interiors to fit our particular pots and cookbooks. The result was a design that we love. Unfortunately life’s events have so far conspired against undertaking the renovation. When the time is right, Jason’s design will be the basis of any kitchen renovation that we undertake. > > With our children hitting their pre-teens we are now finding that a finished basement is more desirable than a modernized kitchen. Our house has basically been untouched since the 1950s and we wanted to understand any potential issues with water infiltration before finishing the basement. Jason provided independent advice for determining how to determine if water infiltration is an issue. Since this was a first-time project for us, we gave him all of the initial information we had - square footage, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, timeline & budget - and as the project began to take shape, Jason was thorough in asking all the additional questions for us that an experienced designer knows needs to be asked. He is open-minded and receptive to ideas, looks for alternatives if an element of the project is not suitable from either a design or budgetary perspective, and works extremely well with the builders to sort out any questions that may arise with the construction. After meeting with numerous architects before beginning this project, I am so pleased with our decision to work with Jason, and genuinely grateful that he agreed to work with us. Our project has been very successful, and that is due in large part to Jason's involvement - his design & construction experience, materials knowledge, consciousness of budget (and really understanding with accuracy, the dollar amount it costs to take the ideas into reality), and genuine caring attitude was truly a pleasure to deal with. A: Hi David, These windows are a fiberglass frame from Inline. With large windows like these, you will want to make sure the glass is the appropriate thickness otherwise they will flex too much with pressure. A: These are a fibreglass triple pane reasonably high performance window from Alpen Windows **Q: Wall cladding** *(in Photo Questions)* Could you please share both stone cladding you show on your wonderful modern design? A: The cladding is a limestone from Arriscraft. If I remember correctly, it is an Adair Sepia split faced (rough) and medium dressed (smooth) repeating in a 4"/8"/12" pattern.
