> We were about to start re-siding/redsigning our homes exterior and were stuck on the design.  We wanted to move away from the stucco/tutor style and go more craftsman and modern, but couldn't wrangle in our ideas.  Plus, communicating those ideas to our remodeling contractors wasn't giving us a lot of confidence.  L Marie came to rescue.

> We explained what we wanted to achieve.  She helped fill in the gaps, offered some good criticism and insight.  The deliverable was a exterior design drawing we could provide to the remodelers and it was terrific.   Our house turned out great and L Marie helped us get there.

> L Marie Interior Design was great to work with.  Lauren met me at my home and spent a significant amount of time just brainstorming things I wanted to do with my kitchen.  She then came back a second time to take measurements and pictures.  She had many ideas of different configurations and options.  It was refreshing to have a designer come up with the ideas and suggestions.  I had ideas on a style and she was able to run with it.  She produced several drawings with different color options and was very flexible when I asked for different things.  I will definitely work with Lauren again!

She was able to work with my wife and the contractor to give us a new "modern" look. What type of beam was used? Was a wooden box constructed or a real wooden beam used? And what color is the stain? Thank you.

A: the stain color is a custom from profile cabinets. The wood beam is actually three pieces attached to the structural beam needed to hide electrical. The finish is distressed and the color was Brazilian root.
