My challenge was updating a living room with furniture in the Chippendale style (Queen Anne leg) and royalblue velvet couches. Susan was also quick in responding quickly to me via voice, text and email. I found her to be a pleasure to work with. A: I also agree with putting a rug to ground the room. Add an upholstered bench or large ottoman in the middle of the space. I would put a ghost chair (or even the Tobias chair from Ikea) at your make-up station. It's light and airy and will not add to the weight of the room. **Q: Bedroom** *(in Design Dilemma)* What do you think? I need to choose a gender for the curtains. I don't know id i choose something white or if will be ok with the zig zag gender of the pillows... A: I agree in that I do not think I would add another zig zag geometric for the drapes (your floor is lovely) and provides enough of that pattern. I would take the green or blue from your accents and put it on the drapes in either a solid if you wanted to play it safe. Otherwise you could do stripes or a different pattern in those colours if you wanted to be a bit bold. **Q: Looking for a few opinions on my choice of sofa fabric please....** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hi everyone, this is my first time posting on the site so hoping you can give me some advice. I'm moving out soon into a new home and I'm currently sourcing furniture for the living room. It's quite a small place so I'm not putting a lot of furniture in the room. The walls are standard finish by the builder (I think it would be best described as magnolia) and the carpet is cream. I plan to put some sort of grey sofa in there but am stuck between two options. I've chosen the slightly more textured-look one below but am now having second thoughts and wondering if I should have got the darker plainer fabric instead. Which do you guys think would look better? A: I agree with using your original textured choice. It looks to have some cream in it as well, and that will help to tie in your carpet and walls.
