> EK & B recently did an excellent job
> removing an old granite kitchen counter top and adjacent areas in our home and installing new quartz material in their place. Great job EK & B ! Very pleased with the results and professionalism shown by their employees . Looks fantastic.

**★★★★★ — HU-301957582, Dec. 2022**

> EK&B did three shower jobs at one time in our condo. They were excellent in helping us
> pick components to match other bathroom features. They executed the work flawlessly
> to blend the shower work back into existing walls and trim. The quality of their work is excellent
> in all respects and we appreciated Zach's diligence to adding features that make shower use much more enjoyable.

> Renovation of main bath in a 1992 home. From early design and planning through demolition, buildout, installation of tile, glass, cabinetry, the project was completed with the highest skill and attention to detail. They listened meticulously to our desires and also inspired new thoughts to the design. Zach and Bob have a professional team that work together seamlessly. Solid company -- highly recommend.

> We had EK&B design and completely remodel our master bathroom. Overall we love it, but there were some issues.
>
> Pros: They listened and gave us a design we love. Once work started it continued almost every day through completion except for final cabinet install, as they were delayed. The final price was what we were quoted before work started. Tile work on floor and new shower is top notch.
>
> Cons: Drywall and paint is average at best. It took several return visits to fix issues before we were satisfied. We were promised a notebook on completion with all information about the design, plumbing fixtures, cabinets, etc. including care instructions. We're still missing some info that I don't anticipate we'll ever receive.

**★★★★★ — Tara Townsend, Nov. 2019**

> Highly professional, trustworthy, creative, and innovative with ongoing communication throughout our kitchen remodel project! We are extremely pleased with the entire experience from the start with 3D rendition, variety of cabinetry, features, lighting and finished product!
>
> Expect Zach and his team to deliver and then go above and beyond to make sure you are happy!

**★★★★★ — Mark Oberholtzer, March 2019**

> Great gob on our kitchen and baths! Very professional from beginning to the end of the job. We especially liked the tile job by Ty the tile guy! Great crew all around

**★ — Nancy Gore, Sept. 2018**

> Contactedd EK+B at the end of last year to remodel my kitchen and bath. They came out a few times to look at the project, we came up with some ideas. They said they would be in touch and we would go over the plans. Since then, I have emailed them several times and they said they would get back to me. That was nine months ago and never heard back from them. Very disappointing...

**★★★★★ — Carole White, July 2018**

> Mike, Bob and Zach designed and built a lovely kitchen for us here in Amelia Park. All contractors and their subs were professional, polite and clean! The result is a lovely, redesigned classic kitchen. Mike's design ideas were creative and definitely added to a beautiful result. Thank you Everything Kitchen and Bath. We highly recommend your company.

> EK&B have remodeled the kitchen, guest bathroom and master bathroom in my 20+-year-old house. They approached each room creatively and with sensitivity to my tastes and requirements. The result is a house that is beautiful, functional and very personalized. The EK&B team are very nice people who are talented and professional. They have been great to work with. I wish I had more kitchens and bathrooms to remodel!

**★★★★★ — Shari Roan, Feb. 2018**

They were patient, attentive, had lots of good ideas and used excellent craftsmen for the job. Best of all, they are just nice people. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

**★★★★★ — Amy Clark, Dec. 2017**

> Excellent job renovating my kitchen! Great input on design by our main contact person, Mike Rhodes. He led a team of true craftsman who were a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend EK&B!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Ideas for updating maple kitchen to modern look** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I desperately want to update my kitchen, but I need to do it on a budget. Any ideas for converting this kitchen to take on a look similar to these houzz ideas?
My ugly kitchen:
The looks I like:

A: Your cabinets appear to be in solid condition. If you are looking for an update on a budget I would recommend what I like to refer to as a kitchen face lift. Update the backsplash, counter top, and hardware. By upgrading the decorative aspects you can truly transform your space. Based on the kitchens you like it seems you have a contemporary style. Instead of merely replacing the light fixture I would add a tray ceiling. It really brings a modern feel to the space.

**Q: What are the dimensions of the island?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The island cabinetry is 111" x 48" plus 1-1/2" overhang all around on the top

**Q: Subway tiles around kitchen window?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I have a new kitchen with whore shaker doors on the cabinets. I have been tiling the backsplash and up behind the stove. Should I go up and around the window too, or just do under the cabinets? It's a small window and a small kitchen, the cupboards go up to the ceiling.
Thanks in advance

A: I second InterMix Interiors comment completely! It's a small space so cost of extra tile shouldn't be that much more for what a custom look it will give. Definitely go for it! It will give you a very finished look.

**Q: Paint color to go with gray and brown/tan** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am painting a bathroom that has a sitting area in it also. The floor is hardwood looking tile and the granite countertop is a cream colored base with swirls of black and gray and specks of red, see attached pic. The color of the room outside of the bathroom is SW Mindful Gray 7016. I am looking for help on what color to paint this room. Thanks!

A: What color are the cabinets and hardware? Also do you favor warm or cool tones? Do you have any accessories already that you will definitely be using? If you can post a pic showing more of the space that would help.

**Q: Countertop Decision SOS!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I have to choose my countertop material tomorrow. should I go with "thunder white" granite or caesarstone "pebble" engineered quartz?
we have all white, slab lowers, no uppers, and floating shelves. we were thinking of matte white subway tile with glass white just under the shelves. natural oak floors. what do you guys think? (sorry drawers aren't in!)

A: Sounds like you are doing it right. If you can do it in 1 slab and its the same cost, no brainer. Especially if you have quartz in other areas go for the granite! By all means, I'm a fan of quartz. While it's very trendy right now it's also here to stay. It's definitely not a kitchen fade you will look back and regret but for the sake of design the granite will add so much more dimension. The right granite really is art in your kitchen. A beautiful slab will always remain hip and timeless. Make sure and post pics after install!

**Q: Subway tile in my Kitchen** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm tiling at the moment and could go to the ceiling with the subway tile as I have lots. Wondering if I should stop below top of the window trim so I can add colour? Or carry on to the ceiling? There will be 2 wood floating shelves on each side of the window. I will be placing a large sign above the window from the old train station that was here on the property.

A: First off your kitchen is off to a great start. It's definitely coming together beautifully. If you are worried about adding color you may consider tiling full height on the wall that houses the range (full height backsplash adds such a custom look, I highly recommend it!) and leave the wall with the window where you have it and paint a fun accent color. While the rustic railroad motif will look great it still leaves you needing that pop of color.
