My husband ordered my corbel wall lights from them well before Christmas, and there was no indication that they were back ordered or out-of-stock. > > Well, my husband apparently called a few days before Christmas inquiring on the shipment status, and that's when he finds out that they're back ordered and won't be shipped for another month! Unbelievable. My husband immediately told me so I would not be disappointed at Christmas. I told him to cancel the order because I had seen the same exact sconces from a different vendor for $50 less! > > My husband called 4-5 times, both the Customer Service number and Iron Accents' main number--same voicemail, and no one picked up. I told my husband to email. As soon as he emailed, Iron Accents immediately canceled the order and gave him the refund. Although the email and refund were prompt, I was disappointed that my husband was calling so much to no avail. We ended up ordering the 2 corbel sconces from a different vendor for $100 less than what Iron Accents listed and they're shipping within 14 days, which is much better than one month! **Comment from Iron Accents:** > I am so sorry that you are unhappy with your experience with our company and as soon as I heard of it I researched your order to find out what could have happened to cause such a delay and I would like to take a moment to explain to you what I found. > > We received your order on December 12th thru our website. We were having an inventory reduction sale on items that were in stock to try to lean down inventory before the end of the year. The item you ordered was listed on sale – quantity 1 available - but your order came over for 2 of them. We decided to honor the sale pricing on the additional unit and order another in for your order. We then sent you an email “Your order was received on 12-Dec-2017. Your Reference Number is: 143473. The items that you ordered and their expected ship dates are listed below. (2) (CS) Antique Gray Corbel Lamp Expected Ship Date: 20-Dec-2017” and we placed an order with the manufacturer for the additional lamp. It is normally up to a 3 week ship time as listed on the website but the manufacturer had been rushing for Christmas orders so we thought we could get it for you in time. Unfortunately, we were then notified by the manufacturer that they would be unable to ship the item as it had sold out and their next shipment would not be in until January. We then emailed you an order update that your shipment would be delayed and gave you an expected ship date of January 19th. Phones were crazy at that time and we were a bit shorthanded because of the flu, but were also answering emails and calls as quickly as we could. We received the email that you would like to cancel the order which we did and promptly and refunded you immediately. (The only reason you had been charged already is that you used paypal and they charge the card when the order is placed.
