> My wife and I have been happy with the process this far. Jeannine is patient and receptive as well as calming, all traits I've found lacking over the years in designers. She was versatile with our changing thoughts, on time for all our meetings, and had some great ideas. The pieces are scheduled to arrive soon and from all the detailed samples and graphics we are sure things will look great. I should also mention that when we downsized our initial project by 1 room, Jeannine was understanding and unaffected, the sign of a true professional.

> Excellentdesign and creativity. Was able to transform my small apartment to give it a completely fresh look, created an more open and larger feel and also created more functionality within a small space environment.

> We hired Jeannine to decorate our home in the Hamptons and it was a really satisfying and pleasant experience. My husband and I have somewhat different tastes and ideas and she was able to find a wonderful middle ground to make us both very happy.
>
> In addition to helping arrange and select furniture and accessories, she connected me with a great contractor and she project managed a number of additional changes to our home, including an absolutely fantastic custom kitchen and beautiful master bath.
>
> Jeannine is that rare mix of creative and organized. She can think outside the box to solve complex design challenges, and she's also a true professional - responsive, patient, and flexible. Since I've been working with her, my home has been transformed. I feel like I live in a new place, and for the first time in my life, I feel like it actually reflects who I am and what I love. It is beautiful, modern and fresh.
>
> We adore our home and would highly recommend Jeannine!

> Jeannine is amazing... she has helped put 2 homes together for me. First, my apartment in NYC had a disaster fire created by an electrical problem and totally creamed my home. Jeannine came in from the outset, created a beautiful new apartment with amazing built ins, clean design, redid kitchen, bathrooms etc... this was years ago and to this day, I am thrilled with the way everything looks, works and creates comfort. My home in ct has also had her amazing touch. It is a contemporary home built in 1980 and she updated bathrooms, living room, decor, custom furnishings etc and her sense of design and ability to work with my taste but enhance through her ingenuity is amazing. Beautiful work that makes me happy every day... years later! Jeannine is a gem!
> Please note that the project date below is not accurate because that only allows one date and she worked with me multiple years on multiple projects for 2 homes that spanned 2000-2011.

> I have worked with Jeannine for over 7 years now; originally for a major renovation of our apartment and subsequently for numerous smaller jobs. The reason I keep returning to Jeannine is that she is not only creative but an excellent problem solver who always seems to come up with a solution to address situations that to me, seem unsolvable. Her knowledge of infrastructure i.e., electricity and plumbing is as deep as her design knowledge. She's been willing to work within our budget and usually offers a variety of options, allowing us to choose according to our means. Jeannine is easy to contact and communicate with and never makes you feel as if you're interrupting her. She is consistently patient and a good listener. In general, she is just a very pleasant person to be around as well as a consummate professional.

> We had renovated a town home a few years prior and after several poor purchases we decided we need ed the help of a professional designer. Jeannine did everything from completely designing the interior cabinetry and furniture of a room to supplementing what we already had in other rooms. She has been working with the same contractors and artisans for a long time and has a good rapport with them. She was very welcoming and professional to any trade people we brought in ourselves. She also designed woodwork and iron scroll work for a new set of front doors. The firm was easy to work with, open to ideas and collaboration. We got exactly what we hoped for, a traditional leaning decor with a fresh, contemporary look!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Love the floor, but is it wood with tiles?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Amazing work and concept on the floor, a really bold visual focus for the hallway, but is it wood combined with ceramic or marble tiles?, and if it is, what kind of prevention do you take to ensure the prevention of damage on both materials?

A: In this hallway, we used mahogany wood with Belgium limestone tiles. The tiles were about 24" square. We had two different material thicknesses to work with since the tile was thicker than the wood planks. The installer added an extra layer of subfloor to the wood layout so the tile and wood floor would lay flush. I had the wood flooring installer put a micro bevel on the edges of the wood planks so we could work around any subtle floor height variations. The limestone tiles are not a consistent thickness.
Keeping the floor heights flush is the best way to insure the tiles won't chip and the wood won't wear unevenly. Work closely with your tile installer and wood flooring installer as this project requires you work with these two vendors.

Good luck!

**Q: Width** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi, it looks very pretty! I am wondering if maybe you know the width between the scones please

A: The mirror in that Powder Room was 2'6" wide

**Q: Paint Color for Kitchen Cabinets** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Please give me the name of a pretty soft white (warm tone) for my kitchen cabinets and crown molding. Also, what is the best finish....eggshell,satin, semi-gloss? Thank you so much for taking the time to help me!

A: I love to use Benjamin Moore White Dove or Ralph Lauren Urban Loft Grand. Both are beautiful clean soft whites that work beautifully with other whites in the room

**Q: What's the floor here** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi there, what's this floor? It looks lovely.

A: This is a ceramic tile from Crossville. It is a wonderful tile to use on Kitchen floors. Matte so it isn't shiny and they carry a wide range of colors. We used a grey tile that looked almost like concrete.

**Q: Need Different Pendants** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm not happy with the seedy glass pendant lights we installed over our kitchen island. Too much glare from the vintage bulbs and not enough task lighting on the island. What style pendants would coordinate well with the Restoration Hardware drum fixture over our table area? The island is 33" x 63".

A: Take a look at Circa Lighting. They have a large selection of pendant lights with both clear, prismatic and milk glass shades. I would suggest going with a different shape than the RH light - something like the small Hicks Pendant or the Garey Small hanging pendant. Both have a great shape (I particularly love the chrome or nickel fittings on the Hicks fixture) and both have glass that obscures the light bulb. Look for something that gives you 100 watts of lights and install a dimmer so you can adjust the light as needed.

**Q: LOVE THE HANGING LIGHTS** *(in Photo Questions)*

Please tell me the name of these beautiful hanging lights....thanks so much!

A: We purchased these from Vaughan Lighting
