It was our hope to have Greg design a similar home close to our downtown. One lot we found wouldn't accommodate the home we desired so our sites turned to a potential tear down. Greg provided guidance for my presentation with the village, however village rules at the time prevented us from moving forward. In October 2011 we found a home that had been built in 2006 with an unfinished basement and ended up purchasing the home with a Jan 2012 closing. We contracted with Brehm Architects for the design and over the next 3 months we worked closely with Greg and his team on our lower level design, finishes, as well as other upgrades/ enhancements for the home. We then contracted with O'Connor Brehm custom homebuilders on 1/06/12 to execute the build. We closed on the house early Jan 2012 and scheduled all work to be done prior to moving in. With our plans already submitted to the village, we received our building permit immediately following our closing. Over the next four months the O'Connor Brehm team did an outstanding job of project management. All of their subs who worked on our home were top notch and a pleasure to have on our site. Regardless of the issues that arose, I always had the utmost confidence in the O'Connor Brehm team. With our last items on our punch list completed the week of 4/24/12, my wife and I moved into our new home with on 4/28/12. I have nothing but the highest regard for the quality of design by Brehm Architects as well as the attention to detail of O'Connor Brehm.
