Cabinets on right going to be drawers with seat cushion in middle. The cabinet on the bottom left wall in corner is basically useless. A very small door to access cabinet. Then a large cabinet is suppose to go on top. Is a one floor cabinet that will be very hard to access and I dont think it will look right. Should I due away with cabinet and put shelves? Get rid of the seats? Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks. A: I would get rid of the seat and do a larger cabinet you can then access in the corner. Then you will be able to access the wall cabinet and use countertop for folding. You could add a fold down clothes drying rack to the side of the tall cabinet. **Q: Can I remove laminate sheet from countertop?** *(in Design Dilemma)* I have ugly blue laminate countertops with a wodd edge. I want to give them a facelift because I cannot afford a brand new countertop. Can I remove the laminate sheet from the top? If so do I have to put a new sheet of laminate on top or it there another way to get the fresh new look im going for? Any suggestions or ideas helps! Please be kind. But it was fairly easy to do. **Q: What do you think of this tile for a shower?** *(in Home Decorating)* I found this large format polished porcelain tile on display at Floor & Decor and loved it. Do you think it will look okay in a bathroom with small matte white floor tiles, white walls, and the vanity etc pictured in the collage? What do you think of this tile? I haven't seen many like it. A: If you love it and plan to live here for a while then do what makes you happy. I think it all looks beautiful together, will be a striking bathroom. **Q: Tile suggestion** *(in Design Dilemma)* Updating a kitchen with rich cherry cabinets & new snow mountain quartz. I would like a pearl- look tile with shine & texture. Subway with squared define style is everywhere now. I have many arches in my home - would an arched type tile as opposed to square be a better compliment for my home & in keeping with a modern appearance? A: I would recommend something like this, it is a subway but has irregular edges, is textured and pearlescent. With the Arches and the Staggered heights, I feel an arched shape would be too much. I do not see a 4" high backsplash in your photo so am assuming you are tiling to the countertop. Looks like that is just damage from removing the old countertop. It is Mallorca 2.5x8" from The Tile Shop **Q: To block off a wall in a small kitchen or not?** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hi! Looking for super small kitchen design advice. Re-doing a kitchen in a small one bedroom condo (800sq ft) The kitchen has two entry points. I know we all want to open things up and never want to close spaces in. But there's not enough storage space in this kitchen. If we close up one of the walkways and make it a galley kitchen you get a 36 inch 6ft tall pantry. Is the Pantry space worth giving up the 2nd walkway?? A: I would do a combo of what you already did, close up the wall, put the pantry there, remove the wall cabinets over sink and do lights but, I would try the refrigerator across from pantry in a wide enough space for doors to open and then slide the stove down in the area the ref was. Would also just drywall instead of paneling the back, the flooring will need to be dealt with. **Q: input on backsplash tile placement** *(in Kitchens)* final touches on kitchen remodel and would like some input. Backsplash tile installed last week. not comfortable with the way tile stops in the coffee nook. should it extend on right wall to cabinet line, entire wall space, or leave it? paint will be similar color to the area that is not spackle so it does really blend. my kd wants it as is shown. would love suggestions. A: I typically do not tile end walls but in your case I would. because of the visual from left and right of the door. It appears that the countertop sits flush with the door casing so the tile should just go from under the wall cabinet to the door casing.
