**★★★★★ — HU-49239661, Dec. 2019**

> Bloomfield Architects managed our re-build project which included full customized plans for the property. They came up with a modern and creative solution working with the current foundation and frame. They listened closely to our needs and provided an additional service through construction management. We are very detail oriented people and love the final result. Everything down to the gutters was custom and unique. Paul was the lead on our project and paid close attention to what mattered to us while working within our budget. We enjoyed working with him and his staff and would work with him again if we take on a project like this in the future.

**★★★★★ — moddomicile, Nov. 2017**

> We hired Paul for a major renovation project. He provided thoughtful and intelligent designs that gave our home a modern look, while respectful of the original architecture. We are very happy with the outcome.

> Bloomfield Architects was exceptional in designing a Dormer for my home. It consisted of expanding two upstair bedrooms, adding a bathroom, and adding three windows viewing my backyard. After the work I secured a home equity loan and the "C" classification (Google: c1 thru c6 rating 101 - Appraisers Forum ) by the appraiser of my home increased by a full level because of the design and subsequent Dormer addition. This enhanced my resale value.
>
> I am now doing a second project with Bloomfield Architect. The drawlings and design are saving my contractor expense. I am getting special windows ( only ten days to order) that I never would have considered. I rate Bloomfield Architect a 10 on their response time, quality of work, and professionalism.

> I had been thinking about how to I wanted to chage our second floor for years. Bloomfield Architects quickly came up with a better plan that met our goals, was much nicer, required less work and was much less expensive.
> Bloomfield Architects got plans to us when promised and responded quickly to all our calls, The plans were accurate and detailed.
> Paul was particulary skilled at describing how the design would work for us
> I loved working with Bloomfield Architects. I recommend Bloomfield Architects 100%

**★★★★★ — info98181, Sept. 2015**

> I hired Bloomfield Architects to plan and design my dancewear retail store. I only had a couple of weeks to get things in order from conception to opening day, and Paul made magic happen! The care and professionalism he brought to my project turned a stressful time into an inspiring one. His design has brought daily compliments from my customers, and is a pleasure to come to work in every day. I highly recommend Bloomfield Architects, and would definitely work with again in the future.

**★★★★★ — justaminute, May 2015**

> Paul helped us redesign our kitchen and first floor layout. He was easy to work with, had interesting ideas and provided multiple options (all great options) and excellent drawings. We are extremely pleased with how our project turned out.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Where can you get doors like this with no frame?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Jim,
Thank you for your interest in this project. You can get doors like this from just about any glass/shower door supplier. For this particular project we used low iron glazing, which allows the glass to be much clearer and minimizes the greenish tint that thicker glass has.
Bloomfield Architects

**Q: what's the material of the vanity?** *(in Photo Questions)*

what's the material of the vanity?

A: It's a solid surface material called Krion, available through Porcelanosa. This was a snow white color with a nice matte finish that feels great.

**Q: Drain, gutter system** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi, absolutely Stunning house! I love the material combos. Can you please share with me what time of drainage/gutter system did you use? We are about to reno our house, and will also have this type of flat roof line, and I am in the process of looking into what do to for drainage.

A: Hello. Thanks for your question. The roof on this house slopes away from the center to a custom trough shaped into the EPDM roof itself that leads to an outlet on the back side. The rafters actually run the "wrong" way, allowing the shape of the trough across the slope like a colonial pole gutter, but hidden below the roof surface. The outlets were custom formed from aluminum coil stock flashed into the EPDM and include a "scupper" if the 4" pvc downspout ever clogged.
Good luck with your project!
Paul

**Q: Siding** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the material used in the black part? Also the grey panels, are they fiber cement boards? If so, what brand?

A: Thank you for your interest in this project.
The dark portion is synthetic stucco in a custom iron oxide color. The gray panels are a cement product from Nichiha.

**Q: What type of material is the exterior?** *(in Photo Questions)*

The exterior of this house is stunning. What type of material is the light grey? Same question for the darker (pewter?) color. I have a mid century house that has stone on the front and aluminum siding on the remaining 3 sides. I have completely updated the interior and I'm ready to remove the aluminum siding. I don't want vinyl. I've thought about cedar and hardy plank, but I'm not sure yet. I think the exterior materials you selected could work. Please advise. Thanks.

A: Hi Anderson. Thanks for your interest in this project. The exterior used a combination of materials including natural ipe wood with an oiled finish, contrasted against the dark stucco (actually a Dryvit efis in a custom iron oxide color) and the grey panels which are a high quality fiber cement product from Nichiha. At the bottom edge is a grey stucco extending below grade.
Paul Bloomfield
