> Christina is an awesome designer and is an expert on Ethan Allen products.
> We met her in October at the Yonge & Davisville location.
>
> She answered all our questions very credibly and earned our respect almost from that first day.
>
> We shopped around but we couldn't find the same quality and service as we found at Ethan Allen.
>
> Our living room was hard to design as we wanted to have a fair bit of seating for when we entertained but also to have a large TV.
>
> Christina came to the house and walked through giving design advice even for rooms we weren't doing which was very generous of her.
>
> She made a few drawings for us and had examples of all the materials and was suggesting. Her planning and work made our decision very easy.
>
> We bought a soda, two reclining wing back chairs, two slipper chairs, a rug, a small table and an ottoman.
>
> Best of all, when everything arrived, it was exactly what we had agreed on and looked so well put togethet.
>
> She incorporated different patterns and material and miraculously pulled it together. She has a very special artistic eye but she gave us what we wanted. She didn't ask us to do anything outside our comfort level.
>
> It's such an interesting room and works equally well for when we're alone or for when we entertain.
>
> I'm so thrilled we chose Ethan Allen and that such a wonderful designer as Christina worked with us.
>
> In fact, when we did out kitchen back room, we called Christina again and she gave us something a little more edgy as we trusted her so let her make all the suggestions. Again, we couldn't be more pleased.
>
> She really listens and finds out what people like. The products and materials are made exceptionally well.
>
> I waited six months to post so I could also comment on the durability and quality of all the items. They still look great and perform perfectly.

> Christina was fun to work with and I love the final choices we made for my tiny condo downtown Toronto. She is very knowledgeable and open to new ideas and colour combinations.

> My wife and I were looking for new living room furniture and had tried many of the usual stores but didn't see anything we liked. Then we met Christina Van Eyck at the Ethan Allan store in Toronto. We aren't the easiest people to work with, my wife and I have different tastes and Christina was wonderful showing us many different pieces and fabrics in a truly professional manner. Christina came to our home and measured and suggested furniture placements, created floor plans and showed us how everything would work. We were extremely pleased with our purchase, everything turned out perfect. Christina kept in contact throughout the process and answered any questions. We would highly recommend Christina and Ethan Allan for any of your projects. Thank you Christina! John and Pansy Henderson

## Selected projects

- [Modern Condo](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/modern-condo-pj-vj~868235)
  - Location: Not specified

  - Description: I worked with the clients to create a contemporary designed condominium that was both warm and welcoming with neutral colors to ensure the space remains open and uncluttered. I added hits of color to the room with the use of accent pillows, artwork and accents along with smaller furniture pieces such as ottomans and a chaise lounge

- [Million Dollar View](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/million-dollar-view-pj-vj~5662628)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 11
  - Description: This is a high rise condominium in Toronto with an incredible harbour view. I painted the pillar to look like Carrara marble so that the pillar looks like an item of beauty. The faux finish only took one day to complete and looks incredible.
- [Luxury Condo](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/luxury-condo-pj-vj~514253)
  - Location: Toronto, ON
  - Photos: 4
  - Description: I knew my client loved art deco and the furniture's slight line keeps the space looking modern and open. I selected durable fabrics in a neutral warm grey colour that will stand the test of time with a hit of burgundy as a pop of colour. The use of glass tables expands the space to the eye. With solid fabrics the carpet is the one thing with pattern to add texture and interest. The small metal table in between the chairs mimic the carpet's design.

- [Beautiful Living Room in Blue](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/beautiful-living-room-in-blue-pj-vj~450553)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 3
  - Description: My client wanted an elegant space with a more contemporary feel. We went with a neutral grey sofa and to balance it, a light coloured carpet to keep the room bright. The chairs were a perfect choice in a modern circular pattern as they are beautiful from both sides of the room, taking into consideration the open concept space. Minimalism with style.
- [Lakehouse Feel](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/lakehouse-feel-pj-vj~450575)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 4
  - Description: My client wanted to create a Nantucket feel to her large living room. I selected a neutral palette of warm beige and navy blue to capture that feel. We mixed rustic elements such as the bleached wood buffets that line either side of the fireplace and Ming coffee table, paired with very tailored furniture pieces and modern art to create that depth of character required. The accessories made all the difference in the space, bringing warmth and life.
- [Formal Living Room](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/formal-living-room-pj-vj~445608)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 3
  - Description: My clients wanted to create a welcoming formal living room. Straight armed sofas mixed with wood framed chairs created a balance between traditional and modern. I mixed deep eggplant purples with plums and beige to create a sophisticated room. We mixed my client's love of inuit art with modern accessories to create interest and depth to the room.
- [Eclectic Design](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/eclectic-design-pj-vj~445535)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 5
  - Description: A young couple with a small child wanted a room that is still meant for entertaining grownups. I selected durable fabrics, contemporary furniture and a large coffee table that over time, even with dings and bangs, will add character to the room. The neutral grays mixed with light blues, silver and black, with deep taupe walls, ensure the space was warm and inviting. This room is timeless.

  - Description: I loved working on this beautiful French inspired room. The mixture of fabrics: silks, linens, velvets and wool created a warmth and elegance to the Living Room. The room is regal but still inviting. The monochromatic mixture of taupes, ivory, soft grey blue and black are timeless in their appeal. The black is needed to ground the room and stop it from being to light and airy.

- [Traditional Country](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/traditional-country-pj-vj~445568)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 4
  - Description: I wanted to bring warmth and comfort to a very traditional feeling family room. I brought in leather club chairs that mimic the colour of the walls to create warmth and subtlety. Selecting a large buffet to house the media components balanced out the size of the television and gave a place to display the narwhal tusk. A large sectional created ample space for the family to watch movies. The room was able to show off the antiques that were collected along with original inuit art pieces.
- [Elegant Renovation](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/elegant-renovation-pj-vj~756099)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 6
  - Description: This project entailed redesigning a 1970's home into a contemporary home. We took down glass block walls which enlarged the spaces, creating a more modern look and feel to the home. They loved the jewel tone colours that worked so well with the field stone fireplace that dominated the entrance and living room of the home. We wanted to create a very elegant space that is also warm and welcoming.
