> Excel Builders completed our new home in the Showfield Development in Lewes in May of 2023. We selected them after interviewing several other local builders. From the beginning, Steve Doyle and his team were friendly and easy to work with. The estimate and contract process was quick and comfortable. The construction process was also quick, taking a total of only about ten months from excavation to final completion. We made some changes to the design during construction, and Steve and team were happy to accommodate us. We got to know Vick, the project superintendent, as a friend. He responded to all our requests during construction. Nearing completion, there was only a short punch list, and it was completed rapidly. We are thrilled with the quality of construction, and as a testament to that, we have had zero warranty call-backs from May 2023 to December 2024. We did have one problem, caused by another contractor not under Excel, but Vick even fixed that for us promptly. My wife and I give our highest recommendation for Steve, Vick, and all of Excel. They will be our first call if we ever have another project in the area.
