> This is a great company, Ron and his crew came in to replace some water damaged boards around our upstairs windows. Upon demo they discovered there was more extensive damage. We contacted the insurance company and then Ron came back with his crew and replaced the framing on the whole front of the house. Then put-up new drywall textured it to match the house and then painted. They were great all around highly recommended.

> Our KRAFTMAID Cabinets were previously supplied and installed by a KRAFTMAID certified firm in 2006.
> The cabinets needed some adjustments in 2017, but as our original supply firm/installer had closed its doors, KRAFTMAID Regional Manager referred us to Ron/Furnival Construction,LLC.
>
> Thus in 2017, Ron listened to our issue and made an appointment to come out and solve our problem. He did so with superb professionalism, timeliness and at such an unbelievable fair to us price for two hours of his and his crew's time., THANK YOU Ron for this great service
>
> So comes March 2021. We had a different maintenance issue this time, so we called Ron again. He was able to schedule our appointment within two (2) days. His crew - Scott and another young man - showed up on time and in one hour had performed the needed maintenance/adjustments/alignments on all kitchen and bathrooms ( master and guest suites ) cabinet doors, drawers and other KRAFTMAID appurtenances. Ron's crew was promptly on time, most professional and efficient with their work progress/completion and very pleasant with a respectful attitude to us elders and our home. THANK YOU RON for your crew and their great service. And once again the price was more than most favorable to us!.
>
> On a scale of 0 (zero/worst) to 10 (ten/absolute best), we must give Furnival Construction - and crew - an 11+ (eleven plus).

> Ron and his crew (Scott and others) completely remodeled our kitchen, and laundry room from the studs out. They did a fantastic job. They were thorough, neat workers who had spectacular attention to detail. Ron always answered his phone or promptly returned our calls. Ron has a "can do" attitude--whatever idea we came up with, he found a way to make happen. Our kitchen gets compliments from everyone who sees it. We would recommend Furnival Construction for any building or remodeling needs. February 2020 We had a small problem with one of the cabinets about 18 months after completion. Ron answered the phone on the first ring and had a crew to our home within 48 hours to correct the problem. Again, I have no trouble recommending Ron highly for renovation work.

> Installed kitchen cabinets and shelves in master bedroom closet. Repeatedly would not return calls or schedule when work would be done. Had cracked molding installed - he said it would not come in that length even though our existing cabinets had a longer piece. The shelves were not installed into studs so they have already fallen down.
> We would never use this company again - do not even want to deal with them for repairs - since it was painful to get them to return a call.

**Comment from Furnival Construction, LLC:**

> Very sorry client was not happy with results.
> We were adding cabinets to the existing kitchen and installing closet shelves.
> 1\. Crown molding at time home was built was available in 10' lengths, when we added additional cabinets and crown years later it was only available in 8' lengths.
> 2\. Closet shelving is designed to be installed in studs and between studs with the proper anchor. We never received a call about problems with the shelving.
> 3\. Scheduling was an issue, we have 7 emails postponing or rescheduling the work from the client???? Not for lack of trying.

> Ron Furnival is an ultimate professional. I was unsure whether to purchase a property which had probable shower concerns. I called Ron and he immediately came out to view the bathrooms and gave me immediate feedback. Ron had remodeled a kitchen and bathrooms for me in the past and he was more than helpful . He made extra efforts to make sure everything was done correctly and in a timely manner.

> Could not be more unhappy. Mr. Furnival came to my house and promised me quality and finish extremely close to current Woodmode cabinets which we were reusing portions of in the kitchen. He never showed me a door but rather small wood samples - one with a background color we tried to match to mine and another with a stain we tried to match. He did a good kitchen design and I paid my contractor in full for the cabinets but requested a door sample which Mr. Furnival said he would provide. Instead, he ordered the cabinets which came in and were in no way close to mine and a much, much lower quality. He kept insisting that Medallion (the company who made the cabinets) were "custom cabinets". They are not. I should have done more research on the brand prior, I should have never paid before seeing the door sample. But in the end, I feel Mr Furnival placed the order because he knew I would cancel if i saw the actual product. I am out $38,000 and he already has liens against him so suing him would do no good. Do not do business with him unless you are 100% sure you know what you are getting.

**Comment from Furnival Construction, LLC:**

> This was the most difficult project I was ever involved in.
> In an effort to keep emotions out of this response and provide a professional reply I will just list facts as they unfolded.
> 1\. We did not have a contract with this client. We were hired by the general contractor who we have been working for since 2004.
> 2\. We had been working on the design for over 6 months by the time a final decision was made.
> On that day we were asked that 2 small corbels (6"x8") from the old kitchen be used in the new kitchen and the client changed the finish that day to closer match the finish on the corbels.
> Up to this time we had presented color samples and door samples for review to see the actual door style, the level of distressing to the door and the finish applied with glaze after the distressing.
> It was at this time she asked for a full door sample with the finished selected.
> We let her know it would take 3 weeks to have a sample made and the cabinets would be here in 5 weeks.
> At NO time did the contractor ask us to stop or delay the cabinet order because he was against a completion date which could not be moved.
> At NO time did we ever discuss "matching" the finish on the old cabinets, nor would I ever tell any client that, it is nearly impossible to match a finish that is 20 to 30 years old.
> 3\. When the client did see the door sample 3 weeks after the order was placed she did not like the "finish".
> We found out later that what she was referring to as "Distressing" was the faux brush strokes in the finish, not the actual distressing that matched the old cabinets.
> In fact the color, distressing and finish matched the old cabinets except they looked fresh. It was the dry brush stroke that was the issue, which we had not discussed prior to this.
> Her future husband wrote an email to the contractor on a Thursday evening after 5 pm demanding the Medallion Cabinetry Company agree by 5 pm Friday to take the cabinets back and refinish them.
> I was off that Friday for my birthday spending it at Disney with my grand kids. I did not find out about this until late Friday when I returned home.
> On Saturday morning I sat down and discussed the options with the builder. We both use a faux finisher that works for Disney and he agreed that he could provide the finish desired and the builder and I agreed to split the cost to have the dry brush stroke added.
> What neither the builder or I knew was that before we could even reply or address the situation the client had gone out Saturday morning and paid $58,000.00 for basically the same cabinets we had provided for $38,000.00.
> So much for helping the builder out with keeping the client in her budget.
> There is NO difference between Woodmode and Medallion in the construction of the cabinetry and the material used. Both companies use Blum brand hinges and soft close drawer guides. Both companies use Rev-A-Shelf internal components (trash cans, pull outs, spice racks).
> Both companies offer Lifetime warranties.
> Technically Woodmode is considered "Custom" and Medallion is considered "Semi Custom" but the only difference is Woodmode offers Mahogany and Walnut cabinetry as Medallion does not.
> The cabinets ordered were Maple with a painted finish.
> The ONLY custom item in the kitchen design was the client wanted the doors above the oven to be the same height as the doors above the fridge placed next to the oven. Other than that there were no custom items.
> The client told the builder not to even deliver the cabinets since they bought elsewhere. To this day I don't believe she has ever seen the cabinets.
> I have heard in the past about people who truly believe that unless they are paying a lot of money they were not receiving the best, although I had never met someone like that. I was about to be shocked.
> The builder overheard a conversation from the client stating "What would our friends think if they ever found out we bought semi custom cabinets and not custom!!!!!!!
> A few weeks later I received a call from an attorney representing the builders client wanting to know when we were going to refund the $38,000.00 to the client.
> I asked if the caller was actually an attorney since a real attorney would know that you must: a. go through the person you have a contract with and b. you must allow the seller to make good on the purchase before seeking a refund. They bought elsewhere before we even had an opportunity to contact them with options to resolve the finish.
> The attorney wanted to discuss the best way to resolve this with our attorney. I stated that we did not have an attorney to which we were told that they are on a yearly retainer with the builders client.
> I said we did business in a professional manner and did not need an attorney on retainer to ward off issues like this.
>
> In summary: I was taught by a mentor the following and it has served me well.
> Honest people trust every one, dishonest people trust no one. When someone does not trust you, you already know everything you need to know about them, act accordingly.
>
> I tell every client before the sale if you don't trust me to be in your home while you are not there please don't hire me.
>
> Please understand we have never left a client hanging but we were never given a chance to even address the finish.

> Furnival construction did a full kitchen & bath remodel of our 1963 Florida concrete ranch style home. The kitchen included demolition of everything. A window was removed from the concrete block wall and a glass framed door was put in going out to the patio. The sink was under the window so the plumbing was rerouted to the new sink location. The job consisted of all cabinets, appliances, lighting and tile floor. There is a new electric on demand water heater & electrical panel. The wiring from FPL was buried and wiring put in for a later patio project. The old bath was 4' wide x 10'. The bathroom was expanded using space from a bedroom. We now have a floor to ceiling cabinet, double sink, toilet and double shower. The rest of the bedroom is now a 9'x13' walk-in closet. Furnival Construction has an excellent reputation with the local building inspection department so that went well. Ron was most helpful in keeping us on budget and sharing information on how to save money on design & appliance purchases. His team are conscientious workers and stay on task. We are completely delighted with the outcome.

> Ron is a very quick, witty and highly talented individual.
> We were very happy with the cabinet install he did at our house.
> I would highly recommend him to anyone ...!
