Founded in 2004 by licensed general contractor Ron Scarpa and Griff Jenkins, the company was built on the same discipline, craftsmanship, and refusal to cut corners that defined their careers as world-class barefoot water-skiers competing at the highest international levels. Ron is an IWSF and American Hall of Fame inductee who transitioned from a decorated athletic career and marine product development into general contracting, project development, and real estate acquisition. As a licensed general contractor, he oversees every project from start to finish. Elisa — originally from Italy and a former national champion — brings an intuitive sense for space, proportion, and finish, shaped by a family background in interior design and textiles. As office manager, interior specialist, and client liaison, she creates spaces that are cohesive, welcoming, and tailored to the way clients truly live.
Over the past two decades, Barefoot Brothers has earned recognition from the American Institute of Architects and the Urban Land Institute — including Best Private Improvement for the East End Market in Audubon Park (2014) and the 2018 AIA Orlando Design Awards Built Award of Honor for healthcare design.
