Hi there, welcome to my Houzz page!

I am an independent interior designer specializing in residential and hospitality interior design projects. From decorating and furnishing small one-room apartments, to designing interiors and coordinating with contractors on elaborate ground-up construction projects, I'm open to working on jobs of all sizes!  

I started my firm officially in early 2020 after years of offering freelance design services while working for larger design firms.  Those firms exposed me to some of the highest-profile clients one could ever hope to work with, and brought me to exclusive properties across north America and Europe.  

I bring to the table 10 years of experience in the NYC and international design and construction sectors, leading your project with transparency, focus and passion from start to finish.

**Q: beautiful makeover** *(in Photo Questions)*

Could you provide details about the flooring?

A: Hi there, thanks for asking!  

The flooring we used was a red oak hardwood with a MInwax Walnut stain.  

So the flooring was a MAJOR sticking point in this project.  Ultimately, the clients decided to go with my original suggestion of matching new wood floors to the existing ones throughout the home.  
We consulted a professional wood floor vendor who assisted us with identifying the correct formula for the stain.  Again our goal was to match the existing wood floors, so it had to be perfect!
I highly recommend testing out a few different stain colors before choosing the winner.  I start by going to the store and looking at the swatch samples.  After identifying 3 to 5 stain (Samples) I like, I buy a sample size can of each of my chosen stains.  Go home and actually apply each stain  to a small area on the floor.  Do this in different areas of the house so you can see how the light affects the color.  From there, choose your favorite!
