During the first few conversations, she had generated pages and pages of notes that captured all the details of our needs and wants for the house. That attention to detail was a huge benefit as Hallie started designing the floor plan and layout because we all referred back to the list to help us decide what was most important. It is very easy for architect and client alike to add more square feet to the house at every turn during the design phase. But no budget is unlimited and we weren’t interested in building a mansion anyways. This is where Hallie really shined. She was able to design a home with the form, fit, finish, and features we wanted and maintained a close eye on how this would affect our budget.
