It's gorgeous! A: John Boone in NYC **Q: LONG hallway, short on ideas!** *(in Design Dilemma)* Seeking inspiration on how to dress up my long, empty hallway (15 feet long, 33 inches wide). I'd love to make a BOLD statement with the hallway, so I'm open to all options of art, furniture, wallpaper/wall colors, ceiling color, floor coverings, light fixture installations... etc. A few details: you enter my condo from that first door on the right, and the left wall has very limited space for art, given all the doorways. The grey wall at the end is my master bedroom, and the "great room" (one wall partially visible) is painted in a matte black. A: Install some crown molding around the perimeter of the room Use a beautiful carpet runner to add color & texture. Paint the new crown molding / doors & casing a tonal color to pop a little. Do add art on all walls available. Are there places that carry inexpensive modern furniture and wardrobe closets that you can recommend. A: This happens to be a custom built cabinet. You should check out Ikea, West Elm & Room & Board. It's for my master bath - windmill pattern floor, palladian blue walls, subway tile and chrome fixtures.
