Rasmussen Construction is known for their high-end residential remodeling and new build construction servicing San Francisco, Marin and the surrounding areas.

Our Philosophy:
After a century of building, we remain true to our most basic founding principles of creating the highest-quality work while providing exceptional personal service. We have completed projects as small as single bath remodels and as large as country estates, and in every case have built on excellence while cultivating long-standing relationships with our clients, employees, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Design/Build:
We work with and can recommend several of the Bay Area’s most highly-regarded architects—however, for smaller projects, an in-house design/ build option can at times be appropriate. David Rasmussen draws on the knowledge of over 30 years of high-end design and construction experience throughout the Bay Area to bring elegant solutions to architectural challenges. Our design process starts with listening—defining your design goals, and finding a range of options to fulfill them. From there, using computer-aided design software, David, David Jr. and our team can render design ideas as they develop, offering practical solutions tailored to meet your needs and your budget.

A note from Dave Rasmussen:
Our family has been building in the Bay Area for three generations, and our current company has been constructing high-end homes here for over 40 years.
I was first introduced to the construction business in a small plumbing shop in San Francisco, where I would work side-by-side with my father on the weekends. I remember those days well, as it was here that I began to absorb my father’s skills, and was able to see first-hand the honesty and integrity with which he approached everything.
From kitchen remodels to restaurant remodels to building new homes in Marin County, my father patiently and carefully grew his business, and by the mid-seventies he and I had formed a successful partnership which was the start of Rasmussen Construction.
Today, we have continued a tradition of a workplace that focuses on pride and skill to create a product that is superior. Our team of dedicated professionals is here to serve our clients in the most personal and conscientious way possible.
-David Rasmussen

> Professional company with integrity, strong in customer service and dealing with subcontractors.
> Knowledgeable builder with attention to detail, commitment to quality which resonates throughout the entire company.

**★★★★★ — Graham Bigelow, Jan. 2018**

> Working with Rasmussen Construction is every architect or designers dream. They are very professional and and use highly skilled subcontractors and artisans. Their communication with the the team is excellent and they will always inquire if they are unsure of the design intent or have a question about the drawings. I believe our clients were very happy them and with the work they did. The project was a renovation and large addition to a 1904 single style house.

**★★★★★ — Kaplan Architects, AIA, March 2017**

> Working with Rasmussen Construction was a pleasure. They are thorough, well organized, careful craftsman. Besides doing excellent work they are very a likable group with a high level of honesty and integrity. We are a custom oriented, design driven architectural office with over 30 years experience doing residential projects. I would put Rasmussen Construction among the top contractors we have worked with on past projects. I would have no problem referring them to any of our future clients.

**★★★★★ — HEYDT DESIGNS, Oct. 2015**

> Dave and his highly skilled, organized, and professional team make the process of building easy and fun. His bids are very thorough and clear, and set the tone for a smooth construction process from beginning to end. The skill level of himself and his team is nothing less than masterful. They are highly accustomed to fine building details and finishes and produce them with ease, on time and on budget. It was a joy working with him and his team. I highly recommend them!

**★★★★★ — Mahoney Architects & Interiors, Sept. 2013**

> Looking for excellence? Be certain you talk to Dave Rasmussen. Just looking at all the beautiful projects Dave has done will make your mouth water . . .

**★★★★★ — Gast Architects, Aug. 2013**

> Dave Rasmussen and his team have collaborated with our firm, Gast Architects, in constructing projects we’ve designed in the San Francisco Bay Area for over three decades on nearly twenty projects – Pretty amazing! That really says it all. They’ve built everything from bathroom remodels to complete renovations of city properties to new homes on country estates for us. We keep working together for many reasons: Dave and his crew work hard to achieve the highest quality results, they treat their clients and us with integrity and honesty, they believe in team work, and understand the design excellence and quality what we strive to achieve. The fact that clients return to Dave for repeat projects is a testament to his team's process and results. - David Gast, AIA, Principal

**★★★★★ — jane123456, Nov. 2012**

> Working with this David Rasmussen and his highly talented crew, in the field and in the office, was the smoothest construction project we have ever gone through. His company came very highly recommended by a colleague in San Francisco and I would recommend this company to anyone fortunate enough to choose them. The honesty, integrity and the follow through was impeccable. Construction is very difficult on any family; however, our experience with D.V.Rasmussen was one that we would like to pass on to others. The final product, our remodeled house, surpassed everyone's expectations, including those of the design team involved.

**★★★★★ — Carole White, Aug. 2012**

> Dave Rasmussen and all of the people that work with him are among the most highly skilled, resourceful, honest and considerate people that we have ever had work on our home. Deadlines and budgets were respected and for the most part were adhered to, unless we changed the scope of work. On many aspects of the construction we were presented with various options so that the completed project (a kitchen, pantry, bar, family room and finished lower level) was very tailored to our needs. The whole crew was respectful to our neighbors who never complained during the year-long project. Dave worked seamlessly with architect David Gast, whom I would also highly recommend, so that the entire project proceeded smoothly without time delays or problems of communication.
