Primarily, the project was related to a kitchen redesign, however, utilizing Kim's expertise, we updated the entire interior of the house in period-specific form, including the design and realization of a wood-paneled room dividing arch, Greene and Greene-inspired wood trim, imperial plaster walls, and to top it off, a completely rebuilt fireplace employing Laird Plumleigh art tiles. This last particular point, we really appreciated Kim's assistance as she accompanied us to help lay out in real time the design in Plumleigh's facility. Another nice touch was Kim's suggestion of incorporating 10% quarter-sawn oak strips into the new white oak flooring for floor stability and visual interest.
