I got a contractor and he said: "Do not worry, you will have a beautiful kitchen in 3 days!" So, he and his crew came in, did the demo, and I panicked! I did not have a kitchen design, so how could I have a kitchen in 3 days? My contractor was going to get me the ready made cabinets, and I did not like those. > > That is when I got on Houzz and started looking for designers. I wanted someone who is willing to work on small, modest kitchen projects, in a rambler that was built in the 40's. I found Helga, and she was amazing! She came to my house, and we talked, she saw the furniture I liked and listened to the wishes I had for my kitchen. We talked about what would work best in the space I had, what type of wood and styles I liked and what type of granite would work best with the cabinets I liked. Then, she sent out the "cabinet man" who spent some time measuring, and remeasuring the kitchen space and talking more about my likes and wants. In a few days I got the kitchen designs and the perfect layout. We agreed on price, style and color and the kitchen cabinets were ordered. In a few weeks they arrived, each cabinet carefully packed in a box. It was fun unpacking them, and admiring them. After installing the cabinets, I noticed two issues. I mentioned those to Helga and she reassured me not to worry, it will be taken care of. And it was! > I am so grateful to have found Helga to help me, and guide through this rough time. She was always available to talk to me and give me ideas on how to proceed on the project. Thank you, Helga for everything. She substantially warmed up our home and we are always getting compliments from our guests. We had our entire home interior painted, our main floor carpet replaced, purchased new furniture and re-upholstered other furniture for our living and family rooms. These are 10' high aluminum clad wood doors (outside only) of high quality.
